Hey Murray, the incident that u mentioned that happened on turn 2...can u plse explain what other cars were involved. Im abit confused as i saw an incident on turn 3 but cannot remember one that happened on turn 2. The incident i saw was on turn 3, there was no blocking or bawking involved but a hard charging car not using the brakes and using abit of the pole line. Is it the same incident Mr Guy?

Sorry, no, didn'tr see the turn three contact. Was so impressed with the driving overall, trying to watch everybody all the time was impossible. "... there was no blocking or bawking" Focused and careful driving! 351, why aren't you at the workshop? I've organised breakfast for 6am.

Brent was under the watchful eye of John Lovelady, having to significantly change his driving style to get the best out of his new lovelady car. Without doubt, the message was getting through to Brent, infact I had him as a potential podium finisher. His engine seemed strong against the big budget boys which impressed me, Brent having designed and built my engine for this season. My powerglide broke an input shaft 4 laps into the third race. Dave (351) Walsh advises he will start the assembly process this evening. Unfortunately required the complete removal of the engine! Earlier reports of my winning the first race turn out to be incorrect. It ONLY looked like I won the first race. The win was given to Steve Williams (who looked like he came second) by the obliging Ref at Woodford Glen. He had told me I used my brake too hard (I think in turns 3 &4) and was deducting a point. Didn't realise that included the relegation! A lesson learnt!

Brent will be racing in Nelson this Saturday so for those that never got the chance to witness his unique driving style at the weekend can come and see how the new lovelady beast handles our tricky little track.

...thought he went real well in the heats but very (VERY) loose in 25 lap final Thats normal driving for Brent ...He had told me I used my brake too hard (I think in turns 3 &4) and was deducting a point. Didn't realise that included the relegation! A lesson learnt! I would rather take a $20.00 fine than a relegation ;D

didnt think it was illegal to use your brakes? what was the deal with the invers car?seemed to get a little too crossed up in turns 3&4 so was black flagged? ? as a spectators view this ref'ing thing is utter bs..where i was sitting everyone was starting to get fairly pissed at it.

He got loose in turn 3 which caused another car to spin, and he was put to the back of the field. Then pulled up infront of the refs box and stretched his middle finger
Emerson was sensational to watch, Lovelady was standing close to me in 1 of the heats and even he had a big grin on after the race and was shaking his head ;D

two clarifactions.... 25i after being relagated by referee's gave the fingered salute to tower... hence the black flag
26 driver was reminded to keep safety gear on during race, was spoken to, just heat of moment thing most likely...
as all drivers should be aware it is the policy at the glen for drivers retiring infield to stay in their car with all safety gear in place(helmet, belts on) . it is only when car is on fire, that drivers are obliged to exit their vehicles...
a few times for safety reasons drivers are out of vehicles during a crash they are escorted to podium...
always been a strict rule at the glen... you may notice there are few people standing on infield unless in support vehicle... and only four away from main podium...
