Thank you every one for a great effort last night. Thanks to you out of towner's who made the trip, I hope we made you feel welcome, it was good to see a range track IDs in the results.
I walked about after the meeting asking the punters for their opinions and it was all good, they loved it , track records, roll overs, close racing , and a good flow of events.
Thanks to all of the support people who work behind the scenes, your work is appreciated, you proved we don't need big fields to put on a solid show.

I personaly did not get to see much racing but the atmosphere in the pits was great. People seemed to be happy and buzzing. I to had good comments made to me about the racing. And yes it was definitly great to see the visitors there. I to would like to say thanks to everyone who put in the effort to make a successful night. Maree

Yep not too bad on the whole. Sure car numbers were down a bit from where I would have liked them for Sstocks and Ssaloons but the racing was of a quality to keep my interest. Some points of interest were as follows - - Just what is the rpm redline on 114 Superstock. - How much quicker can Scotty Lane go, that Mod was flying. - Hats off to the new Mod pilot in 64a, new machine and driver new to speedway from what I was told. Great looking car. - Quick escape by WBR 6a Super Saloon driver from what I gather was a methanol fire under the hood. - More great racing by the Ministocks, they just seem to get faster each night and some very good race-craft on display. - Great to see a good field of Streetstocks with a few visitors to keep things interesting. - Stockcars seemed a little light on numbers but racing was still pretty good.
At $15 I think is was pretty good value for money. I had been waivering all day trying to decide if I should make the trip down to Huntly but decided to give WP the benefit of the doubt and they delivered, also ment I got home in time to watch the league. I would give them a strong 7 / 10.
Cheers Smeats

You sound as though you were going through the same emotions as us smeats in WP v Huntly. A fair summation of the nite and I like you would give the nite a solid 7 out of 10. I wonder how many others like us were debating which track to head to ? I often wonder what ratio of fans are locals versus people like us who travel seeking the best value. Would it be 80/20 ? 90/10. Interested in peoples thoughts. It seems as though Macgorians by nature are the more dedicated week in week out speedway people and the macgorian fans are more likely to travel seeking the bigger events than just basing the majority of their viewing at their closest track

Thanks to Waikaraka for the opportunity to race on Saturday. It was a shame the track was a bit rougher than we had hoped, but we had a bit of fun playing around with the car.
I must give a special thanks to Tony Cardwell who took the time to come and have a look at my car and point me in the right direction to sort out our issue with regards to the car bouncing thru the ruts (unfortunately I destroyed the car on Sunday !!)
We will endeavour to get back up to Auckland at some stage in the future. The kids enjoyed their first road trip in the bus. I think the only unhappy couple was the camper parked next to us who didn't like us setting up camp at 11pm . We were really quiet (honestly).
Anyway, thanks Waikaraka. The meeting was efficiently run, and Kelly and the kids enjoyed watching the racing that they saw. We were even allowed to park the bus in the pits so we were happy.
Cheers- Rick
