Auckland, I mean Manawatu, win!!!!!!!!! awesome newa barry .how did ron go was he flag racing or hitting ?? Ron had to block /hit all night as his car developed a miss before the 1st race tonight. As he said & Im quoting him (Id rather drive a 4 cylander FORD than a 6 cylander Holden ) he done what he had to which was take the pressure of the 2 runners.

I'd Just like to say thanks to the WSSCC and all involved.
The was the best $20.00 I've spent in a long time and the best show I have seen in years.
Cheers

phew what a nite just got home from huntly, that auck/ manawtu team sure stole the show . and the trophey , man billy neal can drive, and chesnut he knows every trick in the book, ron tye prooved the knockers wrong ,and did a awsum job to read the race, block for the auckland guys picking his targets and holding up the leaders witch cost him a motor in the final. mr coley ( 38p ) did his job well we were racing for points and his job was to finish no matter what and he did all points getting us through to make the final ,17a took the field for the final as 38p was still limping from the last race this young guy also gave his all, acoment was made after the final frim a rotorua driver, thinking won the race not speed . how true

stratford was dq as jay was spun onto the pole line when he hit the wet grass it spun him back onto the track and he clipped a passing car and they deemed it to be a hit off the grass, there was a few shocking calls by the ref over the weekend a car nosed in the wall reversed out called blocking, then the stratford one and then a car that lost its wheelgate gets to carry on and takes out the leading chasing car, was bloody awesome weekend of racing well done to all teams and red and and huntly club, well done to the auckland , waikato and palmy team that won those 2 old boys can drive far to much experince between them for any team, those golden oldies were awesome 1 second of the track record at huntly

The refs calls were pretty bang on really Wayne, Jay was done because he attacked off the grass more than once, as it was explained to the Stratford manager, to which he didn't argue, all in all a darn awesome weekend, and a fair bit of damage for a few to fix!

If HUntly get 8 teams next year, it will again be an event not to be missed. I thought there might have been a few morepoeple on Friday night...those that didn;t attend missed some awesome racing. A great effort by all teams, even those unsuccessfull gave there all and put in some monster hits.
Does anyone know which rees chassis Tony Wooten was driving? WHose car was that?
Carlos CHesnutt and Billy Neil surely were the standout drivers from the weekend. And don't discount them for pace either, those cars are quick.
And good on Ron Tye, Neil Cooley, and not sure who the other person was - they all played an awesome roll in the team, and i thought there blocking was outstanding.
thanks huntly - great to have a not to be missed meeting in November to attend!! Keep up the good work with these classy early meetings.

Great meeting, Manawatu Alley cats were the class act and deserved the win. Given that they came from three different tracks they worked well as a team. Support classes were excellent ; enjoyed the historics, the golden oldies were brilliant and the minisprints raced well. Commentators were excellent last nite. Mintie and the team did everything well and got some great comments from the drivers in the infield, in the pits and from the oldies, great stuff. The first nite was really good but last nite was a step up. Red and team, take a bow !

Well Well what an awsome meeting. Well done to the palmy allyaiders.I think if it wasnt billy and carlos they wouldnt have got that far as in my eyes i didnt see the others do much.the achievment by waikato was outstanding.i cant believe how well the team gelled. bit of a bugger that the tactics changed in the last race. Those waikato supporters on the bank after saturday night cheering on the eagers spectators trying to get out the gate was classic. Also to everyone Shane Gerrand found his wallet in his bag when he got home. Had searched all through the bag and then suddenly he found it. Well done to all drivers and the WSSCC

As i was out there in that race i can say coming down the back straight the sun was very bright and in your eyes as even when i was on the poll line it was hard to see and it was very wet down there but it was the refs call as what happened with Jay didnt even worry us we took this weekend as a learning curve as we tryed out different things and they didnt work so keep to the basics. Cheers Regan 81b

The car that Tony Wootton was driving is owned by Andrew Dreadon, Andrew bought the car off 99h Mark Powell last season, before that it was owned by 15p Rob Miers.
