I was born on the road between Turakina & Wanganui, March'66
I went to the first meeting at The Ocean View Track,at what i thought was around 1971 ! What a hell off a way to end a weekend, parked n a snail trail trek down from the Wanganui Airport, bumper to bumper, for what seemed liked hours. Was there the evening Mr Robertson rolled that darned Tank out the pit shute, standing on the make shift bridge over the pit shute.......how that never caved in still has me thinking, even way back then.
And as they say....the rest is History !
Cheers Bazza

Born 1946.
Taken to a few Western Springs meets 1953 on.
Meeting that I can still remember clearly, and had a huge impact that has given me a lifelong interest, Western Springs March 19th 1955, the first all stockcar meeting in NZ.

Born 79 first meeting at the glen 84..... Apparently I used to fall asleep during the demo derbys.....obviously not enough noise to keep me awake..... My son was born 28/11/06 in ashburton, attended his first meet and first nationals at rotorua on the 27/12/06..... Must be a petrol head kind of family.....
