Well said Phil, I couldn't agree more. The event was a huge success and we all look forward to hosting a round again next year. Huge thanks to all involved, as with any event there is so many that do so much. Looks to me like Saloons are here to say.......and that has to be a good thing. Cheers Mark

Got home yesterday late, really stuffed but happy.
What an awesome time we have had in the south Island!! The tracks proved outstanding and the famous Southern Hospitality shone through right from the barbeque and boat trip in Cromwell (fantastic boat trip really enjoyable) to prizegiving in Blenheim. We only had a slight hiccup in Dunedin which made our team glum but thankfully we have an inspirational crew member in Mike Russell, who thought outside the square and had us rolling again.
To all the very nice helpful officials, volunteers and tracks we thank you all for making visiting your tracks so enjoyable.
To all our fellow competitors (North and South) well done on proving that Saloon racing can be non-contact and crowd pulling. I didn't count yellow flags for all 4 tracks, but I don't think that there were more that 6-7 for the whole series. It was great to put the car on the trailer at the end of each meeting with NO DAMAGE!
To the InterIslander for another year of incredible sponsorship, to Steve and Kirsty for organising sponsorship and co-ordinating all the details so that we could all have a smooth run everywhere, to Carol for counting points and organising grid draws, to the tracks around the south and to all our crew who travelled with us, THANK YOU all it was great.
To Bryce Louden for giving new meaning to "Coal fired power Station", to Steve Louden, we have your racing boots, Mel Hills for telling us about his collection of jandals-Imelda Marcos eat your heart out- and everyone else who made the trip so enjoyable - the fake hand will be avaliable to all who get tired waving in the grand parades!!
