Cheers for the results Mak1...
Congrates to Peter Rees on winning the Manawatu Champs, great news to hear Malcolm Ngatai coming 2nd, well worth the trip and unfortunately the Red Waka-Hemi had too settle for 3rd, too much damage for a run-off.

Great nights racing. Is there in info on Peter Bengston after his accident in heat 1? Is there any info on how Clive Elliot is doing with the new car as we have not seen it at palmy for a couple of meetings? Great to see Pete Rees win the title.

I agree with the congrats to Pete on winning the championship, but honestly the racing was very tame with exception to Chucky blocking Joe Faram in the last heat. It was definitly a night of flag racing at its best but hey sometimes thats just the way it is. I have to mention tho that Ron Tye would have to be the most entertaining stock car driver in the country at the moment, that guy is bloody awesome. His car is like a block of concrete yet when needed the power is there. Well done Ron you are worth the 20 bucks you pay to enter alone.

The miss info regarding the 5p -5g in the results is my fault entiely. I was feeding the place getters as i could and did forgot to put track code beside car numbers. I am unsure, but wii ask about Kim & Pete today, when i call into Cafe de Speedway.
Cheers Bazza

i dont agree with Hemi not running the number 2nz on his car. Is 2nz not good enough to go on the side of the waka? what is the reasoning?
i personally think numbers 1-6nz should be given out and drivers who gain these places should have these numbers on their cars, perticularly with the competitiveness in the championships over the last couple of seasons.
eg - 3 car runoff for 1,2,3nz in the stockcars held in stratford last year. Hemi should have 2nz on his car, many would give anything for such an honour.

I might be wrong but I am sure he has said some thing along the lines of he isn't total happy with second. Feels he can do better.

yeah think he did speel on the website but come on 2nz is a privelege and honour, swallow ya pride and do it justice by having it on ya car

I gotta agree with that although Ive noticed some drivers tend to just put either 1,2 or 3 nz on their wings or sometimes just something on the rear of the body...

maybe with living in Aussie and the car not having too many meeting and an offseson rebuild with new graphics ect would you want to change numbers and graphics 2 times a year is anyone winning about 1 NZ super saloon? just my opinion but man Wayne is a awesome driver ect a great ambassador of the sport hes spending mega bucks on the car and then all the money in traveling to entertain those that shoot him down over a number he owns it he does what he likes. This is my own opinion and dont wish to offend ANYONE BUT HES OK with what ever he dos in my eyes,Keep on rock-en and Rollin in the mighty waka wayno and 1NZ this year aye cheers Geremy
