Greetings. Just a quick summary on this afternoon's results. Hopefully by this time tomorrow I'll have a full report on www.oceanviewspeedway.co.nz. 32S Mark Duthie is the new WC Adult Ministock Champ. After 3 heats he finished 3 points ahead of 75P Chevron Taniwha who in turn had a 3 point advantage on 9P Brett Whiting. A big field of 28 cars. The last heat was a bit testy with tempers flaring behind the wheel at times. 8 Superstocks fronted with 3NZ Darryl Taylor making his 1st appearance. 6 Wangas cars & 282S Phil Ogle & 39S Michel Willemsen. Not too much to report although the 3NZ car looks to have dialled in well. 9 Stockcars with 71B Peter Barry back again to keep the locals honest with his front bumper. 82V Shonn Black won his 1st Stockcar race when taking the feature - a young guy with a big future. 13R Murray Guy made the long trip down to join 4 Saloon cars from Stratford & one each from Palmy & Wangas. Murray won the 1st race & looked to have a ball. The Production Saloons saw some great battles with 73V John Huijs v 44V Grant Loveridge. 6 Sidecars on deck with 62V Craig Scott/Tony Hirini grabbing two wins. And 23 Youth Ministocks on show with 82V Dennis Black picking up two wins.

Has anyone got a photo of the Micheal Williamson 39s new superstock?
Thanks in advance for any help - be interesting if it has some new ideas like the stockcars of the Lintern team do.
cheers

The 39S Michel Willemsen car scrubs up well actually. Mike from www.rollingstart.co.nz has been infield for the first two meetings & no doubt will have some photos of the new car when he updates the site. He said yesterday that he is a couple of weeks behind so hopefully he'll be sorted soon :-).

Also meant to say that the review will be "later" tonight rather than "earlier". Anybody thought of introducing 27-hour days??

Thought of it often FTV, but all that would happen would be that we would work the extra hours and still not get everything done! Whatever happened to the 40 hour week? I guess it is as much a myth as the paperless office!

I travelled over on Sunday. Thanks Wanganui for a good meeting. Was great fun. 71b Peter Barry definatly brought things to life in the Stockcars. Was good racing. Barry tried to take out 23v Duncan, but duncan got some good revenge in turn 3. Superstocks were some good racing, 99v was on the pace, 45v impressed me the most, 39s was good as was 282s, 3nz turned up hot on pace, 15v looks good and thrashes his car, 23v was going well in some heats. Hit of the night when Watkins put Mooney in head 1st Ministock Champs were good, well done 32s & 75p Chev Taniwha. 84p is abit lost taking out Palmy drivers all day. Good times Wanganui

Oh yea, forgot to mention that it was good to see Grandad race in his 13r, as stated above, he looked to have a ball. Was hooking up nicely on the oval.
