Why does Bay Park not have a website? Surely this is a must for now-a-days marketing? Can anyone advise? Did the previous promotor Peter Harford have one?

Long on going story that keeps suggesting that it is under construction and not far away. (tui add)
Quite possibly a direct link between no website, bugger all advertising and bugger all crowd so far this season.
Doesn't help that their 3 best super saloons keep getting clearances to race elsewhere.

Well from the next SPANZ/SNZ Conference, they'll need to have a "fully operational" website to apply to host New Zealand titles. Or maybe WK won't apply for any........

Why would Willie Kay maintain and pay for his own website to promote his speedway when he has a club willing to do it, at no cost to him?

The club website falls short of promoting it's own self let alone promote Baypark. If you want to know whats on at Bp you have to come here or have a phone around.

Who said they get clearances, I know only one had clearance to race elsewhere last weekend, so much for racing for Bay Park! just a flag of convenience, support the guys that support your track......

I thought they had to produce a clearance before they were allowed to run at another track.
Is this the other promoters not checking and just excepting visitiors?
I am sure promoters wouldn't want to turn those drivers away.

I am sure promoters wouldn't want to turn those drivers away. For the integritry of SNZ processes to be maintained respect has to go both ways! It is not the responsibility of the host track to ensure all non-contracted drivers have clearances .. imagine the delays and hassles at documentation time.

I agree Murray. The processes must be falling down on both sides if drivers are racing away with out clearances.
Who's going to want to police it? In this case The drivers want to race elsewhere, The host club wouldn't want to turn away some top level supers, and Willie probably can't afford to refuse them back at BP. Therefore nothing gets done.

Therefore nothing gets done. That being true, all parties must know this and therefore It is just rude not to communicate with each other and no way to run a business - except into the ground. I can't imagine the All Blacks operating that way. Even when Dan Carter wanted a "release to race at another track" it was all sorted out and above board so all involved (including us the public) knew what to expect.
