Check these guys out..... Some very expensive helmets getting ruined in the heat of the moment....... Who would rate in the top 10 of NZ Speedway "angries" ? Saw Wayne Hemi jump out of the waka at Te Marua about 5 years ago during a red light. He was very hot and bothered and wanting to have a 'chat' with a stockcar pilot in front of him. He was grabbed by a marshall before taking the issue further......

"chicken man" ray baughn and "the bullet" neville basalji have had some interesting confrontations over the years. from hand gestures, playing stockcars, and the infamous head butt incident. (why these guys bother with helmets on is beyond me ) perhaps a little differant in that this was more like a soap opera spanning several seasons. sure made the midget class very entertaining. ;D ;D

Im sure Skinny T boned cardwell a few years back at baypark after a race... someone might correct me Steve Williams got a fired up with Neville Stuart at baypark which looked like a "no one to blame" racing incident... those 2 in the supers come to mind..

I think the Steve Williams one hit the news as well. I was out in the pits after that and he was all smiles signing autographs and chating with those there. Some officials came over to talk to him. They went to the front of truck and had a very animated discussion. That ended he came back friendly to the fans as ever. Very professional actually.

Spitting of the Dummy is generally a heat of the moment thing - in many cases it is completely out of character for some people, level heads and level minds don't always go hand in hand in competitive sports. You just have to throw out the random ones and focus on the people that do it all the time cos generally they are BAD SPORTS....can't take failure, blame everyone else, their machine as long as they don't take any blame. Fortunately we have very few of these within the speedway fraternity.
