I find it ironic that Dave (Petrolfumes) Shaw attends lots of race meets and posts every one else's driving on you tube. If you type in Meremere dirt track rookies on you tube, flashautos the film makers have even typed into the header that petrolfumes is in the building. He starts 7th out of 7 starters and drives very well. Watch the jalopy driver do it for real in an impressive driving display.
Sorry I don't know how to post a link, perhaps someone could please?
Thanks and well done again Dave. Maybe Richard B, you will be next?
Awesome,
Hooncorp.

Haha, bring it on. My Primera circuit car is a manual and I'm sure the car would pass dirt track scrutineering. The road car I drive (and love) does not have a roll cage, so a no go sorry. There are some auto cars at the track and I'm sure with a bit of charm we can secure a car for Yaz. Now you on the other hand Eddie? What do you want to drive? Hmmm and don't say a camera !! The next Meremere dirt Track day is the Dirt track 2 day nationals Dec 27/28 and there will NOT be rookies races on those days. This means a January racedate which gives you a lot of time to come up with excuses (hear that Dreves?) I think we should have a track commentators race representing the local squawkers. Unfortunately tho, I am no longer a rookie at this track, so I guess the race will be commentated tho. Hooncorp.

Now you on the other hand Eddie? What do you want to drive? Hmmm and don't say a camera !! I would drive anything with 4 wheels and an engine which doesnt have a Blue Oval on it. ;D (I drive a Ford for work fer chrissakes, thats punishment enough!) Who said I need to offer an excuse? I got my Playstation Racing Licence (1m59.77 at EA Bathurst in a Virtual Commodore, boy that was a nasty battle....) I'd be there with bells on.

I have a commitment from Yaz and That guy (eddie) who lol'd at my official invite to the next rookies race. We can't decide which one of them to put behind the wheel and which one to be passenger. So the only fair thing to do is put them BOTH behind the wheel. Seems wrong not to really. Thanks guys, I will be in touch and make no mistake, we will document to lead up to this high profile media event. Well, for Meremere Dirt track club anyway. We will get 2 even cars for a fair contest. (yeah right). Let the whiskey jug hoe-downs and cousin kissing commence !! Signed Barry Brown. Oops, I plagurised his name, how rude of me. Hooncorp.

Hey SWP,
Look forward to meeting you.
I am hoping the date of Feb 1st is suitable as there is only one race meet in January and sadly I will be in Invercargill with the Production Racing Series.
So this dynamic duo have plenty of time to find an excuse. I am sure we will see Yaz photographed in a completely different way, and at least she is better looking than Petrolfumes. Eddie on the other hand?
Anyway, I hope this date suits, if not, back to the calendar. The race would kick off at approximately 4.30 pm but I would suggest arrive much earlier if possible. Keep in touch.

I know you 2 will show up and give it a good crack. But as for the evasive Drever who is now a moderator, so, I'm sure he will find plenty more reasons to be 'unavailable'. Oh well, he can watch the footage on youtube and the SWP pics.
See Aaron, I'm pre excusing you already to save the feelings of all the kiddies who would otherwise be hurt. Happy to help,
Hooncorp.

It's always good to have a photog at each end ... Ed has asked me to be there with a camera too as well as his usual deputy with a video camera, and in honour of what's happening I'll contribute my own video camera as well so we can have equal coverage of both cars ;D
Hooncorp, I've never been to Meremere track before, if I get down there this weekend any chance of sneaking out into the middle for a bit to see what the view is like ?
Cheers Gary
