fantastic meeting, well worth the money, craig dollansky and jonathan allard were all class and it was fascinating watching their different lines around te marua. huge thumbs up to the track prep team, a great track, racy all night with (20 sprint cars for 30 laps) very little dust in the feature. roll on next week at palmy

What was the support racing like? Did they have a good crowd?

Was a big crowd. The support racing was a mixed bag. Sidecars for the first time this season were good to see for those of us that like the class, ( hope we see a whole more of the loonies of speedway). After the previous meetings of great stockcar action they seemed very tame in comparison.

came down from palmy. as crew of a sprintcar team not racing this year i obviously liked the sprintcar racing, but the delays over the timing issues really seemed a bit silly. could'nt they have got the stocks or chairs out so we had something to watch rather than the water truck and that pajero going round and round. must have been at least 30 minutes of nothing at one stage. overall very good but didnt get home till 2 am. man getting out of the carpark is a real mission

The problems were where the transmitters were mounted i'm told, so I'm assuming that the heat was a problem as when they crossed the line the first time their name showed on the puter (before the temp got up) but when they came round on the time trials at speed (and a lot hotter) nothing registered. I know heat is a prob for the dorian's Anyway I think if they had have known such a big delay was iminant they would have put a support class out, but the fact they didn't and kept watering the track meant it was in good nick late into the A Main. It was a bloody good night tho
