Hey Tiroto, try Daily Post. Was on front page. Not sure if they put all the articles on web site though. Not sure how to do it but someone in the Rotorua area might be able to scan article and post on here.

Thanks guys, I am very humbled to receive these awards especially considering the quality of speakers in the National Speakers Association (Auckland). As I said to the daily Post reporter my achievemnets are not mine alone but those of many and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the folks on macgors. You have contributed to me receiving these awards and I congratulate you too. Thank you for your inspirationClive Elliot is an example of someone from Macgors who has inspired me. He is and always will be a legend in my eyes. Thank you for your role modelling.Darcy Hunter jnr is one of the most humble champions I have ever met and he continues to be a role model to me. He is the man. Thank you for your friendship and supportMany many of you who have come up to say Kia ora or have allowed me to say kia ora to you, here and overseas. Thank you. Thank you for your encouragement Wayne Hemi once posted a quote on Macgors which I wrote down and have on my file cabinet. Wayne's quote and his excellence in many areas have kept me motivated to achieve the best I can. He wrote "Winners, while most people are dreaming of success, winners wake up and work hard for it". These awards are really the result of a lot of hard work. However I am also encouraged by many of you who work a lot harder than I do so you can get your race cars to the track. I am reminded of people like Carlo who also help many others get to the track. Thank you for keeping me honestNo names to mention here other than Dwayne, Darcy snr, Marty, Tiroto and Marmite. You guys rock. Finally to Mr Macgor himself and all the moderators - especially the ones in Palmy , thank you for creating a whanau that enables us to share in each others achievements, that's what whanau do aye. So take a deep bow everyone and please share in these awards with me. You have made them possible to achieve through my involvement on here.Thank you all. Ngahi... you are one very special person, talented ,gifted and blessed, most important you have found your inner self.Every single time you type words here in Macgors they have more meaning than any other poster in Macgors. What i mean by that is you can feel them, and experienced scribes will know what I mean by that. I wish you well for your future and hope that you do live your dream in owning and driving your own Superstock by 2010. I for one will bring my new Superstock to Rotovegas sometime for you to have a drive on one of their club nights.

Congrats Ngahi.
Agree with everything stated so far. A heart of gold that deserves to be reconised by the nation.
When I hitched to Auckland last year, you offered a place to stay and a ride to Auckland had I made it to Rotorua, a very nice gesture that was much appreciated by me.
Keep up your hard work & I really hope you make all your dreams come true in life and on the track.

Kia ora Guys, Thanks again - this is really overwhelming and humbling. Marty, thank you for your very kind offer. I was once offered a drive of 1NZ by Darcy jnr and declined on the basis that I might break it! If you don't mind I'll decline your knid offer on the same basis. I know how hard it has been for you to get to the track and I'd hate to be the reason you get put back out in the wilderness because I broke your new superstock. Wow Mr Macgor I am surprised you managed to get a paper as i thought my wife and kids had bought all the copies to send to the relies! Thanks Phil, SWP and King James for your kind words. Hey King James - the offer still stands. Don't tell anyone though or people might think I'm actually a nice person. Thanks again you guys and gals on Macgors are too much. Here's a quote to think about - "It's not the will to win that matters - everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters." - a famous coach called Paul "Bear" Bryant. It is a very rare occasion that I get goosebumps when reading threads on here.
But to read about - then understand and fully acknowledge the depth of persona, character and overall standing that one of our most popular Macgor's community scribes has in the everyday 'real'world.....my goodness - it was goosebumps all round.
I relish those rare days when I discover something wonderful. This is certainly one of those days.
My friend, you are a true ambassador in every sense of the word.
And it is not by chance that you are receiving such accolades. There will most certainly be many more.
Ngahi, I feel it is high time that you counted yourself among those that give inspiration and serve as a role model to others.
For you are certainly that..
It is and honour to know - and to be known by you.
Regards
Gavin
