19c Malcom Ngatai is not on that list. Is he saving his car for the NZ champs. I have to pick 16c Mark Osbourne to take this one out. Cheers

Ngatai is likely to contest the NI champs and you can't do both in the one season. No great loss.
I'm a little disappointed we couldn't lure Rosewarne here after reading a lot about him and seeing flashes of his talent in the McCall Trophy meeting.
And no one from Dunedin... Bison?? Or the 48D car which went so hard in Palmy in February.

Little bit of a shame that the 19c won't be there to contest a great title like the SI Champs. Some amazing names and machinary there, I hope the meeting is a great success. I am going to pick a top 3 with no order (Hopefull more than anything 77n Ian Clayworth 87n Thomas Stanaway 492c Campbell McManaway

talking to Malcom ,the reasoning is, if he gets knocked out thats his NZ champs out the back door.Remember what happened to Shane Penn last season.

Any idea of the format for Sat night? Standard 3 heat championship. No change to the list as of this morning.

Back to 20 superstocks for the South Island Champs with the inclusion of Shane Anderton. 11 confirmed visitors for the 2nd round of the TQ Midget club champs. Good field of streetstocks confirmed for the club champs and possible 2 sidecar combinations from CHCH joining our locals for the Mark Thorn Memorial (although this is yet to be confirmed). Shaping up to be a great meeting all round.

farmboy is the new toy ready for a debut on sat?? cant wait to see it hit the track and stir the locals up a bit. i suspect that the s.i champs will be a drag race to the final, and unless the locals are dealt with early it should be a 1,2,3 to nelson. shame that not more have turned up but guess that reflects the class we have here in nelson currently.

well buster 7 more days to go then I'm off to collect her ;D, tho I suspect I will still need a couple of weeks to do the fiddly stuff. As for the champs I agree it will more than likely be a drag race but am still wishing for a massive teams race

Is there a rain date if the weather forecast is right?

Yes there is Sunday at 12 noon. Kids Xmans party after it at 5pm. If it rains Sunday then January 31st. Superstock Club champs scheduled for that date will shift to 2nd night of the Stock Shock. Im not convinced yet that it will rain all weekend. Heavy rain warnings for today and it is fine. Just keep everything crossable crossed for fine weather.

Karen, nobody is better at bending the weather to your way of thinking. Therefore, I am confident we will race Saturday ;D
