Hi Teamsters, Just a quick note to say a big thanks to Scott and Paul Hewson for there work this week on the 23H Superstock. After a bad night last Saturday night in Auckland, the guys worked very hard this week to get all of the teething problems sorted out. Race 1 10th to 5th for La-La. Race 2 Scott had a spin and got pushed wide to grop from 5th to 10th then worked his way back to 4th. La-La was back in the seat again off grid 1. Young Mr Westbury spun him in the first turn and we fell back to last. After what only can be called a spirted drive La-La finished 4th. To say La-La was happy is an understatment. Thanks to everyone on the night for your help and again to the Hewson's. Well we at Ashton Racing would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please be safe out on the roads and good luck to all the Drivers who are going off to race in there Championships over the Christmas break. I will be off to Christchurch for the S/Stock Champs to watch so if you see me around say hello. See you all there at Rotoua on the 27th anyway. Bye for Now.

Not sure about the degree of layback in the seat, and Hewson's is the same too.
Have heard multiple times that this can cause spine compression in a big one. Or am I dreaming?

A lot of people seem to have their race techs laid back, I (kirky modified) prefer straight up and down

Hi Guys, Thanks for the positive comments. Thanks markus, I look forward to meeting you all on the 27th in rotorua. On the seat front, it's the same model as in the old car and i guess La-La's had some big hits both given and taken and no problems. Also to get the car as low as it is and keep the head clearance thats what it takes. Pall Mall, Thanks for the great photos and please next time say hi as i didn't know it was you until i saw the post. To Sonja, Stan and the team in Rotorua, Thanks very much for letting us have a run. Any night when you can load up. Go home wash the car and do a little maintance it's a good one. As to the teams racing, Sorry i don't even know that one. I have asked but i was side tracked. After a few more runs in the car he might make his mind up. Also the old car is just siotting there anyway so you just never know. Again thankyou to you all and please come and say hello. If i look busy just interupt me as i do get single minded when at the track and get into my own little world. Again a big thankyou to Colin Ashton, the Hewsons and all of La-La's family and my own friends for there support over the last 6-7 weeks as i know we were both a little testy and not that nice to live with. We are looking forward to the rest of the season. It's a shame that Scotty's car has been sold as he's a great competator and a great sounding board for me, so i hope you still come to the track so we can have our chats. Well all the best to everyone and a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year again to you all from the Ashton Racing Family.
