In the 90's Larry Rice would host a weekly Midget car show on ESPN..... Do you remember it at all, I think it feature Brett Horribin when he raced up their in the 90's....
Has anyone got any footage at all? or can remember this?

I taped a huge number of ESPN USA open wheel shows from Eurosport and Skysport when I was living in England through the early/mid ninties. I have hundreds of VHS tapes sitting in a cupboard, but haven't had time to go through and sort them out or even look at them in years. The Thunder series showed some great racing, sometimes it was Wednesday Thunder, or Friday, or Saturday. For me I hated the midgets running on pavement, and I can only recall ever seeing one meeting from the 16th Street Speedway, and a Bellville show featuring Midgets on dirt. The USAC (wingless) sprintcars were pretty good on pavement though.

There is the large issue of Copyright in regards to selling them.
I will look at converting them to DVD, and will gladly give you copies, wont be for a while though I am afraid.

Aaron when Pall Mall goes into his library it takes him 2 days to get to the other end. I can' t promise but I'm sure I still have some ESPN stuff will have a look but it may have gone. If it is where I think it is it will need cleaning.

Brett Horrobin wasnt the only Kiwi who featured on the ESPN coverage,Carl Olsen also featured and if anything he had more coverage than Brett as he also competed on the asphalt as part of the USAC National Series,as opposed to just the Western States shows that Brett and most Kiwis who headed to the USA at the time focused on.
