I know of 2 Titans drivers that definitly do wear Hans devices, and swear by them.
Since a Hans does the job of a neck brace (but better) I understand you do not have to wear a neck brace.
I doubt there would be a teams racer around who would race without some sort of neck restraint.

Right about now i suggest someone feels a little foolish! Correct Jordy, you dont have to wear neck braces when you have a hans device. An apology to the belt checkers I'm sure will be forthcoming shortly.

What a particularly irresponsible thing to say. So you think it's OK to race without a neck brace? Yes I know that it appears that lustee jumped the gun a little (don't ya just hate it when that happens) but knownotmuch didn't know much when the reply was posted.

In reply I would like to go on record saying I think all involved with any class of speedway would be wise to avail themselves of any saftey equipment they can. But if some chose to put themselves at risk, then I as a spectator have no right to tell them not to do so or fuss over them. My comment ( through probably ill advised) was trying to express the opinion that only someones mother should be able to reserve the right to make a fuss if we are a bit unwise with ourselves, not some random stranger. Sorry lustee meant no personal offense at all. Go the Titans!!!!

I think this thread has run its course......lustee made an observation, and has withdrawn her comments after learning about the HANS device. End of story........
