Random question but why has no one ever built a porsche saloon or super saloon ?? Would be a cool looking race car I thank Alan Jagos VW ran a porsche engine. And of course Wilbur CHiles had a porsche body on his stockcar - as well as a VW. I think they were all steel too...??

Would be a cool looking race car For the same reason why no one has a Ferrari,or a Lamborghini porshes arent that dear now marty .i contemplated using a earlier motor ina stockcar and was going to cost me 6k to have a earlier single cam alloy v8 one putting out 300hp ready to bolt into a stockcar

Ferrari & Lamborghini's are two seater cars...i thought you cant build two seater cars these days? Would the moter be to exposed or what?

it would get great traction ,wouldnt it????same as fwds in prodys,cant beat the fact they get traction in all track conditions :(but on the other hand ,a lot of wieght swinging round out the back

Yes the 13a ltd saloon was red and driven by Murray Nutsford.
I think the Ferrari your thinking of might be the little Pontiac Fierro 87a.

yep murray nutsford red 13a 912 porsche vw powered only problem was no weight in the front as its all in the back

Porsche's are OK cause they're rear engined, Fiats (sorry, Ferrari's) and Lambo's are mid engined, so not allowed. But here's a thought, Porsche 911 RS 3.8, 2+2 coupe Prod Saloon. Its legal, boys and girls ;D
