All the good drivers will head to the springs The G.P will be a non event.. baypark will be the loser here. Its a shame its gone this way promoters need to work together.

I think youll find that baypark will have more than enough sprintcars for the GP.The main cars racing at WS will only be the ones still in with a chance and a few locals.Anyone who has already crashed out of the series or doesnt want to get ground around the wall might just want to race at BP.I guess they will at least have a chance of salvaging some title.BP have 20 sprintcars on a normal club night so throw in a few visitors from around NZ and there will be enough. With the rapid growth of this class in the last two years NZ can easily hold two big meetings on the same day.Bring on friday and saturday nights and all will be revelled

More that enough? Agreed they'll have "enough", but is there such a thing as "more than enough?" Especially if you're trying to run a genuine 2 night show......... Will it still be competitive? It sure will, but will have nowhere the quality OR quantity level it should, and could have had. Once again, the fans are the losers. Baypark will lose more than the Springs, but both lose something from their show due to the other venue running. Fans still get charged the same at the gate however, and the value of the GP for 2008/09 is diminished............probably just as well Percy will be in the South Island

If you were to base your decision on a macgors thread, 5 people will go to the springs after the last (supposed) fiasco and only 4 will go to baypark due to WK and bumpy track.

The weather here aint the best at 9.45am .... 40% chance of rain, 23 degrees during the day and 30% chance of rain for tonight. Frankly, hoping for fine at Baypark, have decided to give my car to the 'son-in-law' (13m) to race at BP. Nutz, Gizzy might be the best bet!

I'm hoping the wind will pick up with the tide change and blow this stuff away. Just after 10am. fingers crossed. Gizzy one day Murray but I get my speedway fix from baypark for the now. I have to make an effort and get over to Rotorua (it's been years) and Huntly before Gizzy.
