I did not see anything wrong with the hits from 82b. THe only issue they may have had was the fact he repostioned himself 3 metres backwards from where he was. THat was before your footage. But it does not seem to be that as what you have stated.

ps I completely lossed track on why baypark lossed. By the way in future may be the fearest way is to put the red lights on and remove these so called affenders instead of waiting for the prostest room. If the result dramatically affects the end result then sure the team should then be disqualified or lose points.

I should state 82b he drove backwards more then five metres from where he was. But I do feel sorry because if refs feel there is something illegal then they need to remove the affender and that goes with any teams.

Meeting of the season for me so far and incredible value at $20 per nite. Was expecting the 2nd nite to be more but well done to the promoters who kept the price the same and were rewarded with a huge crowd to enjoy the racing. Wgtn and Palmy were the two class teams and congrats on Wgtn taking out the title again. Good atmosphere, great teams racing, a good mix of support classes and excellent weather. The Hot dogs were good but the baked potato was fantastic ! Well done to everyone who contributed in making the meeting a huge success

congrats to all teams, I believe the gap between the teams has closed dramatically. That can be only a good thing
As for welly 6 titles in 7 final appearence in a row is awesome and gives us welly fans something to cheer considering we dont have a superstock team. Hopefully that will change with martys enthusiams behind it. By the way I believe wellington have matched the panthers in the number of finals in a row hey Tim S (something no one will match) ever though it is different class the speed is probably the same. Panthers 87-93 welly 2002-2008 Panthers 4 titles and welly 6 titles
As for the title heading north of Taupo. I like it to stay in the lower north island. Uses guys are pretty lucky with the amount of big events up that way. Maybe wanganui/ stratford and HB and gisborne can run western or eastern teams champs. Would mean 6 teams events in the year if you include huntly, palmy, nz and southisland. Financially it would be hard but it would give teams the opportunity to breed new talent

Wellington should not have been in final taking out Titians 154 from in field and receive a fine only. 2 other teams where disqualified. Why do the Young guns have an extra grooves in their right rear tyres? Should draws be done on the night in front on Managers, then no one can say it was a jack up?

Why do the Young guns have an extra grooves in their right rear tyres? Should draws be done on the night in front on Managers, then no one can say it was a jack up? I doubt anyone can say it was a jack up, last year in was done by the managers after the drivers meeting on night 1. Then we heard comments like it would be better if the first night match ups were listed in the program and a few managers said they would like to arrive at the track knowing who they were to meet in their first two races. So this year we did the draw on the infield during a large crowd meeting, with a speedway NZ director looking on from about 1 metre away to supervise.

The draw being done on the sly in a back room out of view and with no witnesses, or was that on the infield at the sprintcars with a mafia hitman watching to make sure Mr Max was on the straight & narrow ??

Thank god this is a discussion board where questions can be asked and discussed.
Well done to Wellington, I wasnt there to witness the spectacle, but will make sure I am next year!
One think I dont like on here is that when someone questions a particular error made, (EDIT or a perceived error or mistake) by officials or competitor etc, they are automatically labelled a "whinger" "moaner" "sore loser" etc.
If people seek answers, they have the right to ask questions on this board, wether they are answered or not is a different story.
Thanks to all who ask questions and seek to find answers.
If we all "put up and shut up" as many who rather us do, this place would be ridden with results, and tumbleweed blowing through half barren threads!
Happy New Year ;D

Just had a quick look in the 'ol rule book regarding Mike Mac's hit. Rule R12-4 (f) Drivers on the racing surface in a blocking role will be considered to be part of the race & must realize that deliberate contact may occur. ( Any inference that one can legitimately hit all stationary cars has been removed from the rules) You can fins this on page 208 & 209 in you rule book under teams racing rules. I cannot actually see where Mike did anything wrong. He was facing the racing direction in both moves. Regan did they write out a infringement notice with the actual rule that was broken? That is the new ruling from SNZ, that all infringement notices have to have the rule that is broken written on the infringement form. We were notified of this about month or so ago. Anyway well done to the Maulers & the Titans. Would have loved to have been there, but had to be at Meeanee to look after the meeting there.

Marty, Thanks for the "boy" comment il take that as a compliment for someone my age. lol! I raced out of Wellington when I did but my main sport was rugby which is played on grass also! Being payed to play rugby won over forking out every weekend to maintain a stock car(as you would be well aware)so the car was sold to a young guy in palmy. Mate, there was controversy surrounding all decisions made on night 2 but like I posted earlier thats just racing & you live with it. No doubt when the super teams champs are contested the same thing will happen,I'm hoping not but hey from previous champs history is certain to repeat. As for the in field comment at you it was all in good humor, even tho its tired its still ammo to throw at ya. If It upsets ya to much il come down & intro myself to you next time you are in palmy, il even shout you a hot dog.

No nothing upsets me really, yes calls go wrong and there were a few , its so upsetting for drivers and crews that put so much effort in only to be done by a wrong call, was just a fact that all the calls went against other teams and not against Wellington on their 3 'incidents'. having said that Wellington ,being the team they are, would probably have still won.All in all it was good racing from all teams on the second night.Would be awesome if they run it the same way as the Superstocks in palmy are going top be run from this year onwards, then Nelson , Christchurch, greymouth and possibly a team from Dunedin/Invergiggle could enter as well.

at the end of the day if you talked to most drivers they weren't happy with the way the snz officials were inconstant with the way they handed out the fines and disqualifications even on the first nite they tryed to fine one of our boys for 7 things he apparently did wrong but they then emitted that they got confused.
Well done to all teams and BRING on next year.
