I have just had the terrible phone call to say that Mike Ansty, brother of Superstock driver Warwick 414a , David of SADT and father of Deon 94a passed away today of a heart attack. Sadly Mike was only 48 years old. Mike was a longtime crew member for modified/sprintcar driver Greg Pickerall 18a. Mike loved racing and was very wise in his knowledge of set ups and why things are done the way they are. He helped me with 2 of my modifieds and i lived at Mikes for a while too. To all Mikes Family, our thoughts are with you at a terrible time. Matt Fergusson and Family.

It's always the good ones who go young.
Sorry to hear, we made mention of Mike last night at Huntly, he was an all round guy and speedway will be worse off without him. All the best to the family, I hope you are strong and receive the support you require well after the funeral which is when the tough times start.
All the best,
Mike (Hooncorp) Howe.
