Yes, an excellent track for the most part and all credit to Willie for the call made to continue with the race meeting! Certainly provided for great spectating enabling quality racing and minimal dust!
- I will thank you to remove your comment about 'my son-in-law'.
I DO NOT want to read on here any reference to Kyle's prowess in MY CAR! Criticism of his racing YES, prowess NO! I guess, in all fairness, he put on a reasonable performance, being his FIRST time behind the wheel other than for loading purposes!! Furthermore, there is NO truth to the rumor I am to retire.
- Certainly got my $20's worth from the stands at Baypark tonight!

Re 13R - Kyle had that thing huffing... at the same time backing off a bit occasionally so it didn't get scratched ;D

Great night. Awesome track. Best move of the night the outside pass by Orchard on Emerson. Well done award to Peter Kennedy for his third place in a saloon heat. As for Terry Casey (Mr Spectacular) Just another Yankee saloon driver with a car that won't do the business. Peter

Lets hope baypark promotion learns from this...
"Add a hell of a lot of water to the track a few days out from the race meeting and roll and pack in so it soaks right through!"
the rain paid off...awesome drivey surface !
supers were the best racing yet this season at baypark, Orchard, Emerson, Flynns all impressed
Felt sorry for Maurice Cowling as Terry casey failed to impress- entertaining but not making any ground on a track that I thought would suit. Was more of a hazzard to other drivers than a contender.
Sprint car feature was awesome track didnt really dust off to the very last laps..

Was more of a hazzard to other drivers than a contender. I felt sorry for the competitors he took out and or intimidated, mostly wondering who was going to be his victim(s) when he rolled. Fortunately he didn't! The racing I've seen of these cars (late model setup) suggests to me a smoother, slicker and banked track is required, BUT most importantly, need to race with their own kind!

Turns 3 + 4. She held her own while Casey was thowing his car at her at great rate of knots sideways for a few laps till he went off. Frightened the sh it out of me just watching!

I'd like to add my postive voice about last nights racing. It was a great night. Lots of work done on the track during the meet but it was worth it and it didn't realy slow things too much.
I have a re-newed appreciation for the running of the actual meetings at Bay Park after travelling to another track recently. The changeovers between races is slick, the on track help is quick and professional when required. the meet doesn't drag on till well after 11pm (There are times wish we could have more beyond 10pm but after a race meet that just dragged on for a very long time I appreciate what I get/got). The stadium is great for getting up high to see the whole track easily and still be close to the action. The Stockcars know that being a stockcar means you hit each other. Free parking! Access to the pits and the willingness of people to talk. (Murray I know that you proud of the way Kyle raced - with all that carnage - not a scratch. At least not that i saw.)
So thanks Bay Park for a great nights racing.
No Photos Mike (Nutz)?
