Is anyone else out there in the ministock world sick to death of being told by the scritneers that you dont have an off set muffler? I have been pulled up twice for this and im getting sick and tired of it, i went to the head scritneer myself and he said its fine. So now im being pulled up for the little things that arnt even in the rule book. is anyone else having any trouble?

back when i raced rally cars we used to pull a wire off one of the head lights so when your car was checked they would find a problem, if we didnt they would look at every little piece of the car until they found something so bloody stupid

Maybe take a photo of your muffler and show us so we can help you. I have seen scruteneers pull up cars for glass on the float indicator. How are you meant to take that out? Its getting ridiculous in a class thats meant to be a feeder class and cars that arnt winning by half a lap are being picked on but the ones that are a getting away with going through scruterneering with their bonnet on. What does that tell you?

Quite easy Missy, if the inlet is not in line with the outlet, pretty sure it's offset. ;D ;D ;D How's the gloves, have you outgrown them yet? And Rusty, ours go through with their bonnets on, not a problem.

Well i do know for sure that my muffler is off set as i have gone to the head scritneer and he said its off set. And gawd me put a photo on here thats going to take me years as i dont know how to do it lol. Im just getting sick and tired on going through to be checked and coming out with new stuff thats wrong. When i did my first meeting it went through fine nothing was wrong with it now that its my 5th or 6th meeting they are finding everything and anything. The thing the really gets to me is If something that they have seen is wrong then how can it be that its gone through green sheeting. And to be honest i trust the green sheeting more than the scritneering. And its not just me that they are picking on with the mufflers theres been one or two others. And no not yet tank11 the gloves still fit lol thank you.

Streety85b (Rusty) I agree, what about the cars that are consistantly winning or in the top 3 or 4 week in week out, who cares about a muffler being a bit out In a feild of 25-30 & still win from the back, in a class that most cars are of mean't to be a similar speed Hey Missy don't worry too much, each scrutineer has a different veiw congrats to 19c also winning the Superstocks, wish I was there to see it, bugga, south island 1, 2, 3 awesome

missy just like when you go through scrutneering then you have had every thing checked then just b4 racing starts they check the size and thicknes of your wheel gates then when your on the dummy grid another guy comes round with a tape messure and messures your bumper ride height im prety sure they dont go that serious on the other grades

Excatley its getting pretty serious and its stupid they should concentrate on picking on other grades after all we arnt even a recongised grade Unlike super stock and grades with big money in their cars. Ive noticed that we are the only grade they do it to.

Know what you mean we were told that we had to have the double spring on the carby in different holes it a safety thing. Nothing in rule book about that. As for safety 1 spring one way the other one other way. Was put in log book as well.

Supposedly, I have heard that one car has spent over $25,000 on the engine itself..And it doesn't do that great. I have finished infront of that car more than 5 times, and I have only spent $1000 on the engine in the last 4 years.

You havnt seen what i have seen at Huntly/Rotorua/Auckland... some of us arnt made of money and dont want to spend big as its MENT to be a BUDGET class, but in saying that some have sort of wrecked that by putting a big price on ministocks.

www.speedway.co.nz/pdf/Rulebook/T%20-%20Regional%20and%20Youth.pdfHere you go , a link to the ministock rules , print your self a set and read them carefully. my advice is if you dont understand a scrutineers ruling , ask him or her "politely" to show you the rule they are referring to, as you dont understand. Theres a photograph of a muffler (page 248 ?) so thats pretty straight forward. remember be "POLITE" even if the other person is rude. Bernie
