I know only dogs worry and they shoot them, and I've tried not to,and alot can happen in two days, yeah yeah yeah. But I am a little disappointed with no's for GP. I think the Kihikihi cars are very supportive of other tracks and now we need you to come play in our new sand pit, and no one will play with us.

after sitting at conference a few years in a row when the saloon debate was raging im surprised that after all the effort put in to have a reconised grade with a NZ champs and GP that now its a reality no 1 wants to support it? ?Can confidently say that if it was an agrade saloon NZ GP the South would have cars overflowing to such a chance!!!

I don't think the NZ title entries were quick in coming in either, but a reasonable field made it. The boys and girls need a bit of a hurry up.
Not easy for pronotion teams to do groups and programmes etc.

"Have faith grasshopper, for they shall come!" ;D It will just be at the last moment, as I found with the NZ's... Greg has entered my car, just hope I can get the car finished in time for him. (Have had a very generous offer of assistance, so will know shortly.) Cheers, Nigel

After being the one leading said debate for numerous years, I have to say I am a little bit disappointed too with the lack of support, especially from the large number of 'non-travelling' baypark registered cars. Hmmmmmmmmm

makes the south islands decision to change over to meet the classes requirements from a grade to saloon a little harder when things seem a little unsettled to say the least.Nigel did a great job pushing the cause but now its a real thing and tons of cars out there theres not a lot of drivers using the class they so despratly wanted?

Amen to that porry,Cheap older Supers equals A grade saloons CHEAP affordable saloons usually under 10k.I still like the idea of the Saloons having a NZ title for those who arnt cashed up enough for a full blown super. In the south old supers can be bought minus motor, bolt in smaller hp motor and carry on Hey presto A Grader.

Keep smiling Rossco like Nigel said these guys are a pain in the a**e when we put on these events for them. No entries, people pulling out etc etc. I finalised my programme with revised groups due to pull outs at 5pm wed had them printed in CHCH and to me by 10 in morn but my point is it doesnt make things easy for us. All I can say is usually a miracle happens and these events go ahead well supported as is the case with NZ Supers this weekend.
Good Luck mate and we will see you at conference for another round.
Regards Phil Promoter

... may the racing be great and may the results be from the track not the protest table. Cheers 77k They've sorted the protest issues with another southern initiative. I was advised at practice that in response to issues some competitors have with officials and a perception they are not willing to listen - All protests are to be heard by and determined by (with no right of redress) a PROTEST TREE located at the rear of the pits. For those who feel uncomfortable talking to a tree, alternatively, protests are to be lodged in writing, in triplicate (three copies) 30 minutes PRIOR to race start to ensure FINAL results are available immediately on race completion.
