He may just be too busy with his work.... but he would likely be a late entry. I doubt the air fares would hurt his racing budget too much.
I'd love to see him show up and wind WeeWee Rees off the end.... won't happen though, just like Joblin doing anything, just like Collingwood paying Rees back, just like Miers paying Rees back, just like Wainman paying Rees (and everybody else) back..... sigh
On the upside, at least we can hope that Rees turns up and keeps taking out his clubmates thus ensuring that no P car wins any individual title this year.... ;D ;D ;D ;D

I just hope it is nothing personal against Rotorua. Has anyone got his phone number - I'll ring him and ask.

Wasnt there some big who-ha about Hemi last year at the world 240's?
I dont blame him for not going back, He probably got sick of that blue-coat trying to make out he was cheating when he wasnt.

THat's what I'm referring to. It appears based on Wayne's website update post his North Island win at Rotorua that he had an unpleasant experience. This was not Sonja or Stans doing. To Wayne - If there was an offence caused - on behalf of the officials who caused the offence I stand in their place and sincerely apologise for the hurt it caused you. There was other ways we the officials could have handled it that night. I strongly encourage you to enter the 240s as a tohu (sign) that you will not allow officials to dictate to you what 16000 or so people and the other 50 plus superstock drivers deserve - seeing the country's best superstock driver perform! Kia kaha, kia maia kia manawanui koe.

Kia ora, Wayne does not strike me as a man who would let anyone else, including officials, determine whether or not he attends an event. However there would be a limited number of events he could attend as per every year and this is more determined by whanau and business commitments. I for one would rather see Wayne Hemi at the teams champs events than the 240's. The 240's is also shaping up to be a classy field and that is where Mr Hemi definitely gets involved so I'm picking it is whanau or business commitments. Still time to register though so you never know. Green flags and green lights

darn shame that Wayne Hemi isn't gonna be at the 240's. Would have been good to see the Waka at Vegas.

Spoke to Wayne in Nelson and he is not coming to 240's as he doesn't like it there. Did not press him why but have heard a wee story. Plus he said he wanted a break after 3 weeks racing. Still a very classy field without him.
