rain!!!!... or due to not many cars I'm in Napier so don't know what it's like there but about a dozen and a half or so e mails were sent to wellington speedway in the 60 mins up till 2pm asking if it was still on or the bad weather means its canned, so there must be some crap weather around.

what a crock why not prospone it at a reasonable hour it hasnt been raining at all pffft im peeved was taking my kids up but not now as i might get 1 rain drop on me. Did a bit of travelling around the Wellington region today and from the start it looked gloomy, pi$%ed down in Wgtn City, drizzled or rained everywhere else we went, and looks even gloomier now than it did at midday. So what's your problem, they made a decision, and i'm sure that was an informed decision based on as much information as possible, in the best interests of competitors and spectators to postpone the meeting. How much notice would you like before they can a meeting, 6Hrs, 12 Hrs, 24Hrs a couple of days even, last time I checked mother nature was still quite unpredictable, even by so called weather experts, and not issuing hourly weather updates by e-mail. I bet you would've moaned as well if they went ahead with the meeting, did 3 races, then it got rained off and they didn't give you your money back as well. Dont come on here bagging your local club for looking after the spectators and competitors best interests before their own. I'm sure if they really thought they had a chance to put on a show tonight and make some money for the clubs future they would of taken it, but obviously they have unselfishly decided that it was to risky to go ahead with tonights meeting. Well done Wellington. We'll see you next time.

its good that they call of meetings early if it was a club nite they wait tell the last min to call it of. but been a champs nite they call it of early so the people that travel dont waist there time and money for no reason . iv got young kids to that get upset when its called of but i tell them that people spend alot of money to get to the track at the end of the day id feel sorry for the drivers that spend 3 to 4 hours traveling for no reason

how about reading it properly i meant why can it so early last week there was no need yeah tonight its turned to custard but 2 small children crying because its not raining and they cant go thats my problem. But the call may of been right tonight but man some people need a fix my only problem is sometimes they call it off way early. Why can it so early, maybe because it's been advertised as the Wgtn Modified champs, and in case you ain't noticed there hasn't exactly been alot of Wgtn modifieds turn up this season, so where do you think they would've come from, yeah a long way away, and do you think they would've been happy if they turned up to race and it got cancelled when the weather had looked at best, gloomy all day. Not to mention the fireworks display that your kids were probably looking forward to as well, do you think they could set that up at a moments notice if they decided to go ahead or pack it all up before it got ruined when it rained. I've also got small children (5 & 7) that would love to of seen this to. But they understand that speedway and weather don't always combine to meet YOUR high standards to allow meetings to go ahead. Like I said, how much notice would YOU like ?, and don't forget they have to take all the other spectators and competitors into consideration as well.
