The most un-appreciated job on the planet. Even though I have only raced on this track twice they put on an awesome track when I was there. Even if it was the worst possible track, I've yet to hear a winner complain about the track! ... And you were definetly a winner at Meeanee!

Ive seen times over the years at meanee when the surface seemed to be like a giant spounge and they had to grade it during the meeting to try and get it to settle. One of the hardest things to do is get a track surface that will be the same week in and week out. Concentrate on the racing, not the surface. It is the same for all the drivers, Spectators get the crashes and bashes that occur because the surface is not quite 100%. Im not going to stick my hand up and say i can deliver a race surface cause ive seen two of the best work so bloody hard to get our Stratford track consistant for good racing. It takes hours and hours of grading, rolling, watering and neutering to get a race track. be happy you have someone willing to do the work and for WHAT!!!!

Shcumaaka (spelling) had a thread about track prep. Seemeed good and made a track passible for the nz's. Nothing to do with his track , but he made a track that good drivers could pass on, or you could have a rear grid in the final and benefit from the carnage that appears before you.
