Entries closed at 18 with a further 10 'johnny come lately' hoping for a grid position. At 18 I suspect their will be more sparks flying in the saloons than the stocks, especially if races are started a bit previous. Looking forward to it. Been a dry spell with a rainout in gizzy a couple of weeks ago .. starting to get the 'shakes'. And the winner of the BOP Saloon Champs is ... one of those named below ?1 .. 1NZ Brent McClymont FIRST2 ... 5k Graham Brockelsby 3 .. 13r Murray Guy 4 .. 13m Kyle Petersen 5 .. 16r Francine Baker 6 .. 17r Tony Heuvel 7 .. 21h Steve Williams SECOND8 .. 68m Steve Cowling 9 ... 69r Carl Barrett 10 .. 69k Mike Wilson 11 .. 72r Andre Rumney 12 .. 75a Craig Duffy 13 .. 77k Rossco Cresswell 14 .. 91r Glenn Lange 15 .. 97k Debbie Brockelsby 16 .. 112r Mel Hills THIRD17 .. 371r Shane Dorrell 18 .. 808r Joe Lunchbox

08-09 BOP Champ is Saloon 1NZ Brent McClymont, usual smooth professional display of racing!followed by Steve Williams 21h second, Mel Hills 112r third. 13R could only manage 7th overall, sorry macgorians! Heat one, grid 8, finish 5th. Heat two, Grid 17, pull off not comfortable with track conditions DNF. Heat three (final) off Grid 2, finish 1st.

He almost had you a couple of times but over cooked it coming out of turn 2 twice. Brent came 3rd in the final heat but, he wasn't gaining either. So well done for you win - it was a very good bit of driving. Oh and nice donut too.

yeah it was good to see you in action.some awesome driving Thanks for your kind words - Certainly was surprised to win knowing the grunter's were not far away on the grid start! Determined to keep it tidy, straight is fast! The track surface quality surprised me - the end of two nights of torturous racing and it was still holding up with a bit of drive. Thought it was Mel on my tail a couple of times and turned out to be Steve. - No idea 95% of the time what was happening to the rear as I removed my mirror following a comment from an official after Heat One.
- Huge crowd which always adds to the atmosphere.
- 77k Rosco Cresswell was out there with his new toy,
the ex Brent Emersen super saloon - big smiles ;D ;D after each race! Time to go and check out the video!FINAL POINTS at: www.rotoruaspeedway.co.nz/pdf_files/bop_saloon09_pts.pdf
