If you look at the discussion board this week it's all been Waikaraka Park. The Huntly Stockcar Champs, nor any other meeting has got a look in. This is Waikaraka's time to shine at the Modified Super Dirt Cup this weekend. It's been the most talked about Waikaraka meeting so far this year and dare I say it but the pressure is on to pull off a quality show. The potential is there. I will be there for sure...2 of my fav Mod drivers have entered....This will be a great meeting....Like epmurc said...the best way for advertising is word of mouth....Well I have raved about this meeting for weeks...and just found out tonight that 1 guy I mentioned this too, is bringing 5 other mates that have never been before...I feel good about that....Good luck to all racing this Sat..

And with Western Springs not being on, I think that may entice a few fans over to Waikaraka aswell.
Word of mouth, possibly the best way to advertise

Final confirmed entrants 1nz, 3nz, 4h, 4s, 6a, 7a, 10s, 11a, 18a, 18r, 19a, 29a, 31h, 36a, 41a, 55s, 56a, 64a, 78h, 99a, 121s
21 cars, only 4 less than what fronted for NZ title so punters should be happy!
No idea of format yet but I would assume all races would be all in with 21 cars starting heat 1.

Scotty would have to start as favourite as he has been hard to beat at the park for a while. Brian and Paul are always there or thereabouts and guys like Hayden and Grant Harris proved they have good pace at the last meeting run at the park. Visitors are going to have to be at the top of their game if they want to take the trophy out of Auckland Foxy for a fivepeat! ;D

You've convinced me Jamo, we will be there. Sounds like there is enough people wanting this to be a great nite so we will roll up looking forward to a good meet. 21 Mods starting the first heat at WP, fantastic ! 20 Superstocks there as well, good stuff

Yes, would like to know where the ASSCC think they can find 20 Superstocks, considering last weekend they couldn't even put together 5 for PN. Taking into account Huntly only just managed, most in borrowed cars, and they're racing this weekend there, many Rotorua drivers (and some visitors) are tied up with the Ministocks in Paradise meeting, 2k's doesn't have that many mobile etc etc etc, it's a big call to suggest anywhere near 20 I'd have thought.......

Here you go team www.waikarakafamilyspeedway.co.nz/site/uploads/modifieds_dirt_cup_v.pdfDirt Cup link with race format above . Ollie Browne link above. Thanks to Craig and Mrs Toolie for putting this stuff together The rain over the last couple of days has penetrated well into the track surface , its going to be fast and furious. With these quality Modified and Super stock fields backed up with saloons , super saloons and the ATVS, WP is definitely the place to be this weekend.
