I will have the Superstock, Ministock and Modified results up on www.stratford-speedway.co.nz tomorrow evening. I'm not as fast as Tim but some of us have to work tomorrow and also don't have the technology. ;D Oh to learn how to directly load the Dorian results to the website. May be a task for the winter.

Sounds like the title was a lottery with so many cars not finishing.
A real shame as the class is in desperate need of a good title to rejuvenate some interest.
The three heat format strikes again.

Great result for Jacko and 1NZ is a nod to his consistency, also a great result for Glen Leech in getting to run the 2NZ for a second time and the evergreen Bunter Pierce shows his versatility in grabbing 3NZ.

please give it a rest for 5 minutes percy and lets celebrate the champions who contested and won Yes Mintie lets ignore the issues and keep on running meetings/formats like this where 40% of the field finishes the third heat. This is the biggest title in the land for one of speedway's premier classes and by all reports it's been a sub-standard crash fest. But the more we ignore the issues the better the sport will be

I'm not ignoring the issues Percy i'm wanting to recognise the winners tonight and look at other things when the time is right. that is why i have put my hand up to be part of the SNZ rule re write and format, so we can take the time to get it right and talk to the drivers to see what they want to run and what formats they like. again a sumation that i am just ignoring the issue but i am not

Whether its 3 heats or a 1 race format consistency is ultimately rewarded.....and to be honest, the final results are a shot in the arm for the work that the Stratford club and the locally registered drivers have done in committing to the class. As an aside in regards Title formats, last years NZ midget Title was hardly a glowing endorsement for the 1 race format, sure the track was a minefield and played a huge part in dictating the final outcome, but regardless of the conditions the 1 race format was an abject failure.

Fair enough then Mintie.
I prefer to do things when the iron is hot and things are fresh in the mind. We need to ensure that we are going forward in the sport and learning from our mistakes. When things are fresh in the mind is the best time in my opinion, but the way our sport is structured change doesn't happen overnight. As a result I think we tend to forget and nothing happens.

Tama Arapere?? What the hell was he thinking...He done one of the stupidest things ever and it cost the man willy nooman a podium finish....
On the restart tama jumped it by about 1 second....ran over the front of noomans wheel and put him out of the race....
Well done to jacko on the 1 NZ and the other 2 leech and bunter...
Hardluck to Mark Dixon he was always up there but some how just never had the points.
Overall was a good night...Top marks to stratty boys.

I was amazed at the crowd, including the two that got forcibly removed by police/security. Not bright boys, that pair. Extra entertainment for the grandstand patrons. Jacko's unusually restrained driving - and even he admitted that was difficult - saw him home where others failed, but the 3 heat format didn't effect the result as much and as obviously as it did in Cromwell.
