What a waste of $20 going to this meeting. First race was superstocks on a drenched track, no traction and was a waste of a race. Ministocks there in numbers again, but I guess at least they kept it to only the youths tonight. When will Robertson and Puk realise that people cant stand watching them. Big fields of them, which is great for the drivers, but boring as hell to watch. They can't get past the first corner without a pile up, and you spend the next 5 minutes watching the tow trucks trying to untangle them. About time they started running them in heats, and starting them prior to the main races, i.e between 5 and 7pm or something, with maybe a feature race during the main programme. At least then the youths could watch their heros race. Ministocks are just ruining PN speedway. The crowd goes to sleep, there is no atmosphere. Pathetic, but as I said, at least we only had youths tonight as opposed to both youths and adults

I think everyone is entitled to express their opinion and I think the frustration expressed has been felt by many of us more than once over our speedway viewing lives .

Man, I'd sit through 50 Ministock races to see a race like that final Stockcar heat!
Cars travelling in all directions, Rees and Tye blocking in tandem, and no idea who was where on points.
Every one of the top 10 cars in with a shot at the trophy were hit and spun at least once at some point in that race.
If it weren't for electronic lap scoring, they would probably still be sorting the results!

Pathetic, but as I said, at least we only had youths tonight as opposed to both youths and adults Good on yah mate. The same, if not more (in some cases), effort goes into us preparing our cars to go out and put on some kind of show for the public. Whilst id be the first to admit that ministocks are not, by any stretch of even the most optimistic speedway watchers imagination, the most exciting class to watch at times, but, whether you like it or not, the future of speedway and motorsport comes through the youth, and adult, ministock class. Eg Robin Pratt memorial, the winner came out of the youth ministock class, 581p jordan dare the same, along with mike mcready in the superstocks. Having the track the way it was tonight doesnt help either.. Youd think youd hold back on the water to get the ministocks over and done with and out of the way with less crashes etc. But oh well. Overall a pretty good-ish night racing I thought..

Good point Christian, 6 of the top 8 finishers in the Robin Pratt Memorial started their racing in Ministocks. And there's another 9 that I can spot in the field also.
So thats 15 that I know of out of field of 33 Stockcars! Plus another 3 in Superstocks. Can you possibly see a method behind the madness now kiwiguy220?

Kiwiguy how do you expect to find new Stockcar drivers if you dont have feeder classes like Ministocks?? They have to start somewhere! Basils comments about the numbers at P.N. that have already moved up to Stockcars and Supers prove the class is doing its job!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually agree with kiwiguy to an extent, why can't ministocks or at least the newbies etc etc race before 7pm why do we have to at times have two groups?? Yes ministocks are working in regards to growth in our sport. but i think clubs need to tone done the numbers during a meeting as they are not a crowd pleasing class. i don't mind watching 3 races a night but when you get 6 plus during a 18 race program its just tooo much.......... And as he says and we have seen it here in Rotorua one spins Red light, another spins red light and when you again get 4-5 red lights a race it gets frustrating. ;D
