64p wound 10p off the end as payback for Rees doing the same earlier. 32p then walled Kev Smith and rolled himself.
7p leading then 31p and 591p currently at the red light.

Kim Lace in 71p. Came out for last race but pulled into the infield before race stared. Good to see 95p out for the first time this season. Going to be real interesting in superstocks over the next few weeks. 64p smith had a huge go at 10p rees and held him up a few places. 77p Norris also had a big dive at 64p. Bundy in the tank causing all sorts of trouble and had a great battle with 16b.
Penns car looked to be on the pace straight away also.
Midget race won by 54a Michael Pickens. Race stopped after 25 laps due to rain.
Great meeting ;D ;D ;D

Midget race won by 54a Michael Pickens. Race stopped after 25 laps due to rain. If they had sorted out the grids after the yellow a bit faster then they would have got the full 30 laps in easily.

yeah they probably would have, but i dont think anymore laps were going to help anyone catch pickens. running out wide all night, very impressive. also hickman in 95s will be one to watch, had some serious pace tonight. great meeting, with some good biff in the superstocks.

I agree this was a great meeting.
For the open wheeler fans the midgets, lead by the crowd pleasing Pickens, were great, and for the full contact fans the super-socks very really entertaining as well. Moreover for the fans of both classes like myself - happy-as-a-pig-in-you-know-what!
And for some reason the ‘speedway buzz’ these two classes invoked during this well run meeting made the other classes like sidecars, stockcars, mini sprints all the more enjoyable as well.
Good on the PN speedway decision makers for making the hard calls by axing some classes in favour of running of the midget feature, just before the rain closed the show down a tad little early.
Too bad though, from a bums-on-seats point of view, it takes something like a fireworks display to get a decent crowd through the gates.
