I am not sure why titles are contested so early in the season but having said that I doubt that there will be a lack of contenders for this title. Can anyone give us an indication of how many cars are expected. Very tempted to do the hell trip down from Auckland. Could easily turn into a mini NZ title if visitors from C, N, W, B, V, S and maybe R, H or A make an appearance. Hard to make a pick for a winner given the vast array of talent and top spec machinery. Just writing this post is giving me goose-bumps and I have almost convinced myself it will be worth the drive. Looking forward to some more detailed info on this event.

Looking at the new Shane Penn car should be worth the price of admission alone I think.

Good point Hermo. Have the Joblin brothers made an appearance yet, interested to see Simon's new stead also. Scott's rocketship certainly showed some promise as did it's pilot. Could be a few debuts. Even more reason for a road-trip.

Its always hard to tell with these sorts of meetings Smeats, i mean sometimes you think wow no other tracks are running surly there will be a huge feild but then you turn up and are disapointed, but id say for sure the 2 W cars will be there, i dont think there will be any S cars as they are down as racing in Statford?? Also id say all the N and C cars will be in Chch for the teams race and Auckland has Superstocks in their program also.
Good luck with the decision

Yes Kessa I have felt the sting of dissappointment before at other meetings in the northern half but I was thinking that there are a number of competitors from far and wide that have made the tow to Palmy for other meetings from time to time and if not commited to their home track may have a crack at wrestling the title from the locals. I would say almost impossible, and there lies the challenge as I see it. Here's a few names that came to mind - Ngatai, Ewers, Hickey, Hampton, Aldridge, Faram plus all the regular visitors from the Bay, Wanganui and Stratford. Now would Palmy cap the number of entries from visitors to minimise the possibility of the title going out of town like the Streetstock and Ministock titles recently. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm[/quote Smeats, I'm not sure where you got this information from. Both the Streetstock and MiniStock titles were open Championships. At Palmerston North all Championships are open and anyone is able to enter. Best of luck if you think someone is going wrest the SuperStock Championship from the locals! But I have been wrong before ;D Actually there will be one Manawatu championship that will be restricted to 20 select entries, as it will be shown on International TV - the DHL Manawatu Saloon Championship.

hay guys anyone got a superstocks entry list of whos going to be there? and whats on the program Next Meeting: 7pm, 21st November - Manawatu Superstock Champs, National Midget Series, Stockcars, Minisprints, Sidecars, Adult Ministocks As for the superstock entry list at a guess I would say a pretty decent field P cars will make up the bulk of the field also with HB not running superstocks on the weekend and possibly a couple of W,V,S cars in attendance should be a good meeting Cheers

Meeting preview has now been posted on www.pnspeedway.co.nzBy my calculations 22 locals have been on the track this season, so it should be a good field when you add in debuts and visitors. If any other big names are thrown into the mix, they will be added to the preview.
