8 stocks away at Stratford I believe, replacing them with street stocks wouldn't change anything but the look of the cars - as I recall, lack of numbers was the reason for dropping streetstocks at BP.

I think you would agree that some change needs to happen with the stock cars at Baypark. It has to be the format really the series was just the same 3 races no different to any other night -- the series should of had points allocated on Taking cars out, hits as well as race wins, drivers needed to commit to the series to ensure numbers. If I was sponsoring this series I would of been disapointed to see that last night. positive changes need to happen in this class at baypark

yes cars were at the under 23s and cars were out for the 1st time last night so were just coming to grip with the cars.ther were a few cars away due to damge and other comitments.and numbers are needed for carnage to happen so if YOUS want to rubbish the stockcars there about needing to be shaken up,get a car and shake it up then!its simple

yep, sure would agree that there need to be some changes, not only to stocks but to the format: same week after week, season after season. If there was a hint of any good will between the promoter of Bay Park and those of any other tracks, then there might be a chance of some visiting classes from time to time. Will that happen? Unlikely. Otherwise, it's a bit like TV at this time of year - everything seems to be a repeat! Oh, and Japsuper, the 8 stockies were away at the Under 23 champs, best Bay Park car being Ryan Hunt at p3.

man i love it when people moan about the stockcars at baypark and the lack of hitting GET OVER IT! if you want to talk the talk, start walking the walk! 10 cars on that size track... of course its not going to be action packed racing, especially when the "series" is happening. the only thing i am disappointed in was the lack of race time last night. i know that santa made an appearance and that took time, but come on. a 8 lap feature for the stock cars when it was suppose to be "our" night!!?? anywho... it was an ok nights racing, the track was pretty torn up (and it was like that before the stockcars came out). oh and the winner of the feature race for the ministocks was Brad Marsh ;D

man i love it when people moan about the stockcars at baypark and the lack of hitting GET OVER IT! if you want to talk the talk, start walking the walk! Folk who listen to advertizing, pay good money to attend a 'STOCKCAR' night, are entitled to an opinion, entitled to expect stockcars in reasonable numbers and to do what most folk expect stockcars to do! Little wonder competitor and spectator numbers are an endangered species at Baypark! Similar number of cars but a lot more contact ...Of the 31 saloons that started the night, only 19 get to start in the feature event, that ends with a yellow (again) and quite a few less cars. Perhaps one day the promotion might split the cars in to two groups of, say 20, with an all in final ... Neil Head ...

The Flynn car looks like it held up well. Drivers cockpit all in tact, bit of bend in cage, but remember its only mild steel.

Oops, yes Porky, you're dead right, my mistake. Apologies to Brad. With regard to hitting or otherwise of stockcars, let me assure you that I am not one of those who attends race meetings in the hope of seeing monster carnage. Let's not forget that real people are out there taking part in their chosen sport at their own expense, and at risk to their own physical wellbeing. I agree, it's easy to sit in the stands and gripe about lack of "big hits" if you don't have to suffer them yourself - let alone repair the weekly damage that accrues as a consequence of racing in a full contact class. It's up to each driver how he (or she) reads and plays out each race - and it is a race, don't forget. And on the number of cars, one would suspect there was a bit of a miscalc on the part of the promoter as to how many cars would actually make the start line (did he forget how many in the stockcar ranks are under 23?) - it's always difficult at this time of year as it is, with Christmas so close and all. And I guess the drivers would also rather have 30 cars on the track than 10 but, "you can lead a horse to water ...."
