He was probably thinking he would never get a run with 2 rainouts in a row! should be 13+ cars in the super saloons with the sscar M reg drivers returning..

The saloon class has a full field. My entry attempt last Monday was denied, as have been many others, as BP is 'over subscribed' for the saloon class! Will be interesting to see what constitutes a 'full field'[/i] at Bay Park in December 2009. Earlier seasons a full field was in excess of 30, on occasion closer to 40!

When I ran there a couple of weeks back (last meeting) I think the field started with 18. It's possible Phil Towgood and a few of the 'flag chasers' for the NZ saloons in 3 weeks might be in attendance, but at this time we don't know who's entered the NZ Saloons. Certainly be great to see a field that, to a degree, resembles the saloon fields of yesteryear. The Super Saloons will have hopefully added to their numbers of late. Steve Williams will be here with the super most likely. Where is Paul Carter 33m? Hopefully the Flynn brothers will appear.

For Super Saloon fans, there will be a VERY special new Super Saloon making its debut at Bay Park on Saturday, add in the rest and what a night it will be! 1NZ, 21h, 7m should be enough to get you excited enough to take a look. (Oh and the Aussie I hear). This new Super will get the punters going! Pity we never see Macca down this way, heard he may be a bit intimidated by the speed! Flynn Boys where are you! Add one more very special spectator of world wide international fame............... Bay Park the place to be for Saloon fans this weekend.

The forecast has a bit of rain while we're sleeping tonight, waking up to, breezy and not as warm; rain and drizzle in the morning, then a shower in the arvo 2-4pm? Clear in the evening. Not dis-similar to the last time racing took place at Baypark.

Weather is looking good, a lot better than earlier. Had one light bit of drizzle which the wind has dried off the ground. Should be a good Field tonight and after two weeks of no speedway , I'm hanging out for my fix . Fingers crossed for the weather
