Redfern DNF'd the first race, pulling off while leading, while Robertson trundled around at the back getting used to the car on a slightly slippery track due to continual drizzle. Mind you, Brian Edwards took 3/10ths of a second off the Minisprint lap record earlier, in a field containing cars from Palmy and Welly.

Those two cars were inpressive in the appearance stakes and it seems like they will be front of the pack runners in no time .
The car that impressed me most tonight was the 216r of Clive Pritchard . Two 2nds not bad at all in the 9 or 10 car field . 22r Bryce Steiner was going good although when he overtook Ross Ashby for the win in heat 2 the Tank's bumper was used to take the position back .
The lousy weather had an effect on the track tonight and lots of horsepower went to waste . The 3rd heat will probably be more telling but I'm not there to see it .

Unbelievable! Two magnificent examples of engineering and workmanship.
Stockcars have come a long way in not so many years, showing a truly professional face to the sport.

if only Dale stuck with the W in both classes(though he probably didnt get to chose where for the super)....still its good to see another welly lad having a skid in a super..paul ran one a few seasons back also didnt he?
will probably add yet more depth to his skill playing with the faster guys. good luck to him.
maybe if he is still allowed in it next season he can line up with a W on it:)...with Marty, Mike, Darren/Paul, Paul, and Jordy....lol

Easy really. Dale has his own stockcar, can do what he likes with it i.e. teams race. He is also a dedicated Wellington club member i.e. does a lot more than just rock up and drive at Te Marua. The Superstock is owned by someone else, therefore the owner can set the terms i.e. where to contract. Dale was offered the opportunity to drive the Superstock, said yes, as one would.
