A smokers view of it all - not all smokers can possibly possess common sense. As much as an alkie craves booze, a smoker craves the nicotine that we get hooked on. Its not a feasible proposition to ban smoking altogether, but fixed seating isnt a great place to do it either. Take the fixed seating at Huntly, Meeanee, which is mainly planks of timber on a frame, where do you drop your butt? Through the planks. I've noticed that there always seems to be an element of people who for some peculiar reason congregate under there. When I was doing it, I often wondered if I was gonna drop one on someone, that was one of the reasons I stopped doing it in the end.
While I am a long way away from supporting any ban within an open air environment, I do support the banning of smoking in a sealed or covered public area.
However you can't convince every smoker to bugger off and stop blowing smoke in your face, remember payback is a real biatch, have a plate of baked beans eggs, steak and onions before a meeting and drop some of the foulest smelling trouser trumpets next to them to return the favour!!!! ;D ;D ;D
