As far as I know 7p has not been warned about not having a number on the crowd side of the wing.... It was this very post which prompted him to come and see me in search of an extra 7, on friday morning.... SO THANKS FOR THAT, In the event of a podium finish we would not enjoy being protested out. Although one would have thought that the 500mm tall number which sits atop the wing would have sufficed. But rules are rules I guess so lets see all the other illegal numbered cars STEP UP sort their undersized or hard to read numbers out. ;D

Pazza, 7p has had to chop his wing down to size too ..... silly rule does not actually achieve anything really. . just looking a pics from pits in vegas, if 7p had to chop his wing one would hope in all fairness 4b, 87r and 96r have been asked to do the same

... Or are we going to have several rule books based on category rules or level rules? ... So Richard's logic would have you stopped and fined for doing 101kph in a 100 zone, the penalty being the same as for another doing 160kph in a 30kph zone? No, not several books etc, just the rules being applied as they were intended, to achieve what was intended. Wow, I've just noticed my radiator overflow is a centimeter above my bottom rail!

Murray, I like to hink more along the lines of Warrant and Registration for your road vehicle.
If you are caught with no registration and no warrant of fitness, you are fined then and there, no arguements on variations of the rules, no differing of severity of punishment you know if you have broken the rules and what the punishment is.

Oops, sorrrrrrrrrrrrrrry - there are extenuating circumstances considered AND applied. You do get the opportunity to write in and explain. Folk do get off. I think 'failing to display a rego and or warrent' $200 per offence, remitted if prove of being brought up to date within a specific timeframe.

Numbers have been, and are going to continue to be, an issue. A lot of cars have numbers that are difficult to read, the Joblin's car is a good example, I had to wait for it to stop before I could see what the number was. The Osborne 16R is another one, black on dark blue just looks like a blob unless the light is exactly right. Nothing is going to change until the officials take a stand, fix it or you don't race.
