Was just wondering if anyone knew of where garys cars he made up are? I know he made afew in the 90's. Heres the thing ive been following stockcars since i was 4 years old and now im nearly 30 ive wanted to go racing but havent because i know i cant afford the repair bill!!!! So i was thinking because gary was my childhood hero i would like to get hold of one his cars and restore it back to how he had it. Once it is going was thinking i could take it to harrisville and just have some fun in it. Something ive been thinking of doing for awhile now, insteed of doing up a old road car why not do up a old flattie!!!!! If i do this it would hopefully end up like this Attachments:

The car pictured was sold to 22n Brian Winstanly in Nelson then to Jason Jeffs? in Blenheim and then I think to Ted Coster in Picton, not sure from there.

i got one off a guy in napier last year with hopes of rebuilding it, when i got into it the thing was just too far gone to bother with so i ended up building a new one and put the running gear into it.

Would be interested in seeing some pictures if you manage to get a car and restore it! Don't think he'd know where any of them are now (apart from now 5v which is 10 years newer then anything else), I did see one advertised on macgors 9 months ago or so, was one of the early 90's cars.

It is the Perkins car there Rob,Go back to your thread and study the pics real close you will see a lot of stuff the same just some areas have been changed over the years,,,,And if you study the front end in the 4P pics above i can see that it has the same A-Arm & shock setup as your one used to be so im beginning to wonder do you have the Ex 4P car,Be awsome if it is

Hi there Danny still has the car I drove a couple of seasons ago. It is the ex Parks, Winstanly car. Danny brought the car from Winstanly and it sat in the shed for years before we rebuilt it. In the rebuild we changed the rollcage and front end but kept all the suspension and steering ideas but we did trade the holden for a ford. Car is still complete minus engine and may still be on 4 sale pages if not I will try and relist. Cheers Red

Parkes raced this car in the 1989/90 season, it went to Winstanley at the end of the season, who competed in at least one meeting in it in April 1990. From 1993/94 - think this one went to Jason Jeffs

This is the Parkes car from one season earlier, 1988-89. Appears to have differences in the design of the front end, so am unsure if its the same car as 1989/90.

This is Parkes during the 1990/91 NZ Champs at Nelson, which he won. The car has a rear mounted intake (was innovative at the time), which may help with identification.
