Havn't heard anymore on Ian's process. Car was in one big mess when it was loaded last night. I would to wish Ian and the team the best and a speed recovery
Cheers Mason

Man the Baypark crash crew responds swiftly. Well done Guys and Girls. It wasn't an easy task to get him out of there without moving things too much and you took your time without panic. Once again well done again and just ... thank you.

Man that was nasty one, The rescue crew are so quick and well trained at BP and Springs would be good to some other track step it up for the drivers sake. Hope Easton all ok and back on the track soon.

Back to the thread....
Any news on how Ian is? The reports above were posted saying what the plan was. Did reality match that?

The pole that Ian hit was significantly bent. I was talking to others there and they could remember anyone bending the poles at Baypark before.
Also I've just watched the footage again and was wondering...
Is this simply classed a racing incedent? Ian held his line down the back straight and Brad (? forgive me if I'm wrong), who is ahead, moves out to flick his car into turn three (as a couple of the cars before him have done) and in the process his right rear clips Ian's left front.

Chances are at Baypark it was classed as a racing incident, no penalties applied (hopefully I'm wrong).Sprint cars are non-contact and the onus was on the black inside car to change his line in a manner so as to avoid contact, or to force Easton off line etc. It may be the black car was put to the rear for the restart? Failure to hold competitors accountable is costing our sport significantly with unnecessary injuries (life threatening), delays in racing, and huge repair bills.
