well i found a rack $100 on trademe and started mounting it,then ran out of mig gas ,so i moved onto something else. i got some old shifter cables out of a mitsi van and made up the shifter for my falcon 3 speed.i was thinkin of mounting the shifter on the lhs in the cockpit as there is plenty of room over there.can stick it any where due to the lenght of the cables,if i want.i had no idea how it was all gonna work ,just pulled the top of the box figured out what does what and went from there.seems to work pretty well. ;D my new rack, the gearbox lever ends are just temp at the mo

picked up my motor yesterday, should be a goodn, only done 88 thousand kms ;)so heres what i did today(which is why i wasnt at the workin bee) engine mounts engine in,woo hoo plenty of room for a massive turbo ;D had to cut a chassis rail to get the engine low enough not a bad fit considering i built the front end without an engine ;D some other stuff ive been up to latley throwing some paint around new dash double shear mount birdcages, now the fun begins bell housing/clutch combonations ecu and related stuff not too looking forward to that. make up extractors/headers exhaust system and them plumbing.

Hey Scott - Nice work on the pedal box! Just wondering if that rack is too long now though?? If the tie rods are in line with the bottom arm (hard to tell from the picture angle) then it needs to be the same length as the spacing between the bottom arm pivots to get zero bump steer. All looks good though - I must come round for a look sometime!

Totally correct! That's why I said I couldn't tell from the picture if it was in the same plane as the bottom arm, so if its up higher - absolutley right! That "My Little Pony" is going to be awesome when its finished!

Nice work Scotty!
Have you thought about making the cover over the pedal box hinged or zeus clipped on so you can remove it quickly to access the master cylinder?
One other suggestion, putting a foot rest flush between the brake and clutch, it gives you somewhere to put your left foot when you are not on the brake and then you can just slide your foot across to the brake when you need to.
Good luck!
