Have you had any pull out of these? Yes 11a Lynn Yates has withdrawn from red group, I will adjust the groups later tonight and post the updated groups. Codi

Throw them all in one group with three heats plus, pole shuffle and final ... Murray, I think you secretly enjoyed watching the carnage in Wellington!! Missed Wellington! But no, dislike the carnage intensely as it costs us competitors and spectators long term. These racers have the skills and on a suitably prepared race surface and SNZ officials who monitor and enforce the race rules, would be an awesome spectacle with enough heats for the cream to come to the top. Very much looking forward to an action packed night of professional super saloon racing, not endless laps under yellow!

Thanks Codi. Just heard Blondie came out in wrong heat and was not allowed to race, is this true?

Thanks Codi. Just heard Blondie came out in wrong heat and was not allowed to race, is this true? That's correct, Blondie came out in the wrong group for heat 1, he was not allowed to race as it would have skewed the results. Codi

Did Blondie come out for Ht2 And if so how did he go. The Harding chassis most certainly has stamped its mark this season, I know the big one the nationals didn't go their way. Good to see Lance and Emo finally get on the podium this season . The Pro X chassis must be the most successful chassis between the two saloon class's this season. Have just read an article in todays Herald on Sunday which shows an airborne 66H, which resulted in Craig Marsh receiving a broken back when his car hit a safety fence pole. Hope you have a speedy and successful recovery Craig.

Mindful Craig has a wedding approaching very fast (March?). Was a huge crash and we certainly hope his body recovers speedily, that his car likewise!

A change to the rules for saloon/supersaloons I wasn't aware of ...
Competitors can now be push started once on the track, provided they are mobile (no pushing) as come through the pit gate. Steve Williams 21h was pushed through the pit gate and officials directed him to the infield for the duration of the race. A following race has 21h drive through the gate to take up grid one position from which he appeared to have been started by a push vehicle.
Not the night Steve would have been hoping for personally or for his sponsors and event sponsor, Valvoline. The gremlins with the Bert Box clutch or similar didn't totally dampen his night as when going the car was largely smooth and fast, with some serious drive when setup matched the track.

best wishes to craig in a speedy recovery, but is there anything going to be done about all the barging going on in last nights racing .surley 1nz should have been put on the trailer for his had in 66h going up the wall that was just blatant barging.

After viewing the video by petrolfumes of the 66H incident in which Craig received a broken back , if SNZ doesn't call 1NZ up before the board and take some disciplinary action they in my opinion we leave themselves open to a can of worms in the future re deliberate rear end hitting.. This is a NON contact class and when you view the hit, it is a hit not a nudge. They have out lawed straight lining in the contact class and you can see why. Not understanding the law of physics , but that hit was done with some force to propel it that high and fast.

'Twas a doozie that 's for sure. Steve's a hard charger BUT don't believe for a second this was deliberate. Might have dropped his coffee, received a text from the crew?
Craig will get the support he needs to sort his car I'm sure, and his body will likely let him know he has been taken in the rear for a while to come!

Thanks for the footage Murray. Sure looks like Steve didn't expect Craig to be so slow into the turn. He was braking well before the corner and caught Flynn out. Get well soon Craig.
