It's not a good look and it does appear to present a credibility problem. What justification is there for them to hold the Teams at WP - or for say Palmy to travel to Auckland? If Auckland were desperate they would have scrabbled a team together ala Waikato. Needs to be a bit of good will towards WP to make it a serious event in my opinion. Time will tell.

Over the years there have been plenty of teams champs Palmerston has not been at yet raced at home. West Coast Champs, East Coast Champs, North Island Classic, Auckland, Huntly & Baypark have all had teams meetings I've been at but the Panthers have not yet they still managed to race at Palmerston. Absence at one meeting does not mean absence at another.

OK, call it an uneducated observation, 7 odd weeks away from the event. It is a bit like saying Rotorua shouldn't have a team at Palmy because they don't have a superstock teams racing event. And, where were all the anti Huntly comments when Waikato were not going to have a team at Palmy? Something they have managed only with an Auckland and a Rotorua driver. There are Auckland cars out at the moment with mechanical issues from very recent meetings that can be fixed well before the Auckland meeting. Think before you post, is it positive, then press Post. If not forget it.

Thats right on the nail Geoff. It's an event promotion . If Auckland doesn't have a team so what doesn't mean the Auckland event shouldn't happen thats just dumb. While it's dissapointing Auckland won't be at Palmy it's not the first time.

Yeah it is abit sad that auckland couldn't get a team together for Palmy but it happens to the best of teams at times. Just look at Waikato they said they were not going to be able 2 get a team together and Mr Robertson announced it at the Superstock G.P in Nelson that they wouldn't be there and that was really sad to hear, but they have manged to get a team and couple of drivers from other tracks have jumped in 2 help out. I'll be coming back for the Teams Nats in Aucks no matter who turns up.

I would not miss this meeting for the world. It has been scheduled on their calendar and i dont think they would want to lose the revenue they get from this meeting. Besides you would miss things like this happening...Mr Abrahams taking a photo of a certain moment happening last year. Cheers. Legaspeed.

I may well be wrong but if the memory serves me correctly that is a pic of the opening salvo of last years meeting, race 1, lap 1, what a start it was,, absolutely looking forward to this years event, dont be mistaken or mislead by various threads on this website, auckland teams is an excellent meeting. If you want real superstock racing with pace, tactics and massive volume of hits, this is it.

Totally agree zitadel..Akl teams meeting is fast and full of action.
Auckland surely WILL have a team, let the boys pockets recover from the south island, world 240s and then you have the north islands coming up.
I think people forget how much these superstocks cost in reality.
If any of the drivers get KO'd in Palmy the north islands are gone for them, im sure the Auckland guys want to have as many on the track at the NI's since it is at there home track.

Unfortunately Auckland has a history of not been able to get a super stock team together, seems that over the many years of teams champs at Palmy Auckland has withdrawn for many reasons and on occasion been declined entry.I believe Auckland drivers are not comfortable in racing at Palmerston. It maybe a bit of non belief of the ability to qualify as their record there is not good. What lacks at Auckland and some other clubs is a good team spirit with a good group of cars and a good group of drivers.Look at the successful teams of present and over the years(classic example wgtn young guns), whilst it is a happy camp the team do well, when infighting and egos arise, or there is trouble within the club its a down hill slide. Good teams need to be moulded, they require good management, they don"t just happen! On occasions you will get a freak made up team that does well, more luck than good management. Good to see Warwick put his hand up for Waikato.
