At WP yesterday Aaron was talking about it. As I understand there is 16 cars in the series, according to Aaron none of these cars are from Auckland. They race at WP, Huntly, Stratford and I think Meanee, Palmy and possibly Wgtn. I was wondering if anyone had further info on the series as we would like to follow it round as much as we could, we will do at least WP, Huntly and Stratford. I think Aaron said Pitcher, McIntyre and one or two other names but would love the 16 names if possible. Aaron, can you assist ?
Thanks in advance, Steve

Is it true that WP promotions paid $7k to run a saloon car meeting that their own competitors cant compete in. And. . . . . . is it also true they paid 3k more than one of the other tracks running the series. Rumours are riot, but I hope they're wrong.

Thanks very much Barry, think you have covered it nicely . Looking forward to this. I guess my only question is will this become an annual event much like the DHL series ? Would love to see this happen and maybe Steve Williams get involved and help create a premier series. A shame there is no WP cars but a good cross section of tracks and drivers covered and like I said earlier we will do at least WP, Huntly and Stratford. Thanks again

i believe all tracks had to pay same amount to host a round, but also believe some have sponsership contributing towards that cost so that could be the reason why, should be an intresting series wish them well and hope they put on the great show that they should

i also understand most supers were contacted to run, but, all drivers pay an entry fee to be apart of this, so obviously only those that could afford to do so are part of it,great to see the 2 south island cars in it, and the whole series is run at each track by the sscar alongside the track programme, so in essence it a travelling show, seems like a great concept to get some top cars racing together at some tracks, im sure they will put on a great show as they will drive intelligently to not cause to much damage
well thats my understanding of it ;D

Shane McIntyre did from memory yes shane won last year the format was great and points were awarded for drivers that passed cars during the races not just finishing places.. This year doing a pole shuffle shoot out will make for awesome viewing this was done at the NZs at cromwell and the hoopla and proved a success

Certainly would like to have seen these boys perform at Baypark which, subject to track prep and the ability to race the whole track width, provides for the best super saloon spectacle. Great the Ray Stewart and Paddy North are able to be a part.

It will be a great series again, a shame Rd. 1 clashes with Palmy Teams and the Midget 50 lapper, but can't be helped....

Its a shame those who don't want to enter the series cant race a couple of heats by themselves and perhaps have an all in final race. 8 or 10 locals from Auckland could provide a 26 car all in Feature at the end of the night?

personally cannot understand why the club are running the series at all if no Aucklanders are in it! Not to mention stumping up with $7k prizemoney (if it is true) when they are complaining of being broke and cutting back on the money they pay out in prizemoney to their own registered competitors All sounds a bit back to front if you ask me What sort of crowd is expected when they are not only running against the teams champs in Palmy but also the widget 50 lapper at the Springs Sounds like another Tui billboard.....Great promotional scheduling.... Yeah right!!

Any reasons why BP don't want tobe apart, wanted to be apart, didnt want to spend the money, werent invited etc.
They have more cars than Auck and will also mean BP are down 3 of top supers for the rounds that clash with BP.
