All they have to do is run the 2nd night like palmy or the top 4 race for the cup the bottom four race for a plate simple as that

Don't you think it a bit rich of WP to expect teams to support their event when they couldn't put a team together for Palmy?

not really, how many times has palmy not turned up to the auckland teams? i know of a couple. but yea the format really needs to change, the more teams racing the better.

Wasn't too long ago that Palmy didn't go to Auckland, despite the Allstars doing the Palmy teams.

Nobody has implied that they won't put a team up for their own comp.

What difference do's it make if Auckland don't have a team at it's own teams meeting, as long as there are 8 teams, who cares (other than Auckland supporters, not many of them anyways). Thank the speedway gods that Auckland Club/Promoter has the n#ts to put the event on, don't see Huntly, Rotovagas etc or a South Island club putting a multi team event (8 or more teams) on not this year, last year or the year before that.
Thanks Palmy and Auckland for putting on the two true teams meetings each year.

Nobody has implied that they won't put a team up for their own comp. I think it would be stupid to assume they wouldnt too, especially as numerous A stockcars have stepped up to fill in the blanks over the years, hell Carlos is almost a staple driver in it. Auckland will definitely have one team.. maybe even 2 i reckon.

If you're going to do that be honest call them selects. Cheers Lee

Hey Acorn....I know I have a cow bell but I always support the Auckland Guys...Sorry its a cow bell but any driver at AUCKLAND knows where I sit and I can TELL you know they hear it....Yeah yeah its a cowbell and Im a jaffa...YOU come and sit next to me for one night..and you tell me its not loud..You may not be back again..I ring it all night long....I dont ring it because its a Waikato Cow Bell...i ring because its fricken loud and the drivers hear it.....Thats all that matters to me....As long as the drivers know im supporting them...whos cares.... PS Thanks Possum for giving it to me all those years ago....

Hi Rissa Like I said not to many Akld supporters (you and one cow bell). Like you Rissa I have supported Akld for years more so than your average spectator, but times are changing, Akld superstocks (those who can put it all on the line no matter what the cost) numbers are not as they use to be and may never be for sometime to come. Lets face the facts Akld Teams are hosted by Akld nothing to say they have to enter a team. Its a event that brings in revenue for club and promoter, why would they not hold it regardless if Akld have a team or not.

The meetings with the biggest revenues generally also have the biggest expenses - other than Demo Derbies I suspect - but income has to exceed outgoings before any profit is made. What is on the website doesn't mean a lot anymore, even the last meeting review appeared on Macgor's and not the ASSCC's own site, but I'll admit I have no real reason for suggesting the meeting may not happen other than nothing surprises out of that place anymore.
I hope we get Allstars, Wanderers, Kings, Rebels, Warriors, Panthers, Hawkeyes and Tigers......or preferably the Gleneagles over a couple of those that may struggle to put together a team for Auckland. Obviously no Otago, no Mustangs, no Brits, maybe a Stratford, although they're full of SI'ers too.
