I was devastated to learn that Barry had lost his ongoing battle with his health but at least he now at peace and not in pain. His funeral was very moving, with so many people there to farewell him. The speedway community is amazing and supportive. Barry's final four laps would have thrilled him! What a fitting tribute to Barry. My heartfelt condolences go to his children, his partner Sue and his wider family and friends. Barry had a kind, caring and gentle soul and he touched so many of our lives. I will miss my friend but so glad that you passed through my life. XX

As a part of Bazza's family, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone that posted here. Your condolences meant alot, and it also gave some of us an insight to how well known Baz was.
Thank you to BarryB for his kind words & the picture of the Baypark Busters, Baz definitely thought of them as his team.
Bruce, once again thank you. Puk.. you and Marie are awesome people and thank you for granting Bazza's last wishes, it was definitely hard watching him go round those last 4 laps.
Russell H, thank you for the kind words, and yes, many a time I heard you speak to Baz to let the cars out.
To the others that spoke, sorry I didnt get round to thanking you personally, but I am sure that I dont speak on my own in thanks.
Pete,Chucky,Neil,Gary,Alec,Rob & Royden....... words can not express my thanks.
May Baz now rest in peace, and he will also look down on us knowing that he has the best seats.
RIP BAZ
Tracey & Mel

Its a clear case of like ncle like niece here, Uncle Barry is the late great Busterfan, through and through they were his team. I am the new pantherfan, and you would be hard pressed to find a bigger Panther fan than I.
Thank you to all who came to the funeral, and those that couldnt make it, we all felt your thoughts that day.
To the drivers that had their cars there.... bigger thanks.
I finally made it on to the track, going on 38p Neil Coley's car to farewell my uncle.
See you all at the dirt oval...
Mel *pantherfan* K

Belated ,condolences . Ive known Barry over many many years of speedway. Mainly at the old Baypark days , ( dreamteam ) etc . He was allways around helping everybody , Drivers ,crews ,tracks, his dedicated to speedway was UNREAL .It was really great to catch up at parmy teams champs, as it seems so did the rest of new Zealand speedway ,such was the man.
