You know the race season has really started when the rumor mill regarding WP flys into top gear.
For the conspiracy theorists, WP does have a license, (for the whole season even) all lights are green, all systems are go , we "are" racing Saturday night.
CU THERE

I can't say I've checked the Auckland weather but the latest rumour is that Hamilton can expect blue skies for the next 3 days, that suggests Auckland can probably expect the same.
Please don't dispell THAT rumour, Bernie ;D

Weather on metvuw is clear clear skys. Fantastic line up of cars. Looking forward to season opener. New committee for this season gets chance to keep building on all good work in pre-season. Well run practices, the venue is looking cleaner the signage looks awesome, the food was great last practice, the track looks good heard drivers saying it was well prepped. Well done team. Doug

U could be onto something here (hear ;D) Mr Mac, The words "I hear" or I heard or "I got told" and any such variation should be followed by the words "from" or "by" and then a name. That person can get on and say where they got it from and eventully the souce of all rumours should be revealed. I wonder if the same 2 or three names will be mentioned all the time.

The other classic to 'I heard a rumour' on the forums is my personal favourite; 'I wasn't there but..' Good luck WP - lets have some good news stories coming out of there in 09/10

Yes, rumours are only rumours until they are either dispelled or proven. Lots of rumours seem to be floating around the Super Saloon class, in particular Huntly v BP. While the fields are tempting when you look at the Huntly Web the positive rumours being circulated about the WP offseason, the progress the committee have made and the positive noises about the numbers of cars attending early season practices has us heading to WP this week. Hopefully the positive rumours are proven and we can enjoy heading to WP once again this season after a very indifferent last season where Huntly got more of our patronage than our local track did. Looking forward to tonight !

There is a two tier grandstand . best view is from up top but take a cushion to sit on . If you prefer you can sit at various points around the stadium on a deck chair or blanket on the grass . Meetings start at 7pm . This link might help you for location . tinyurl.com/yj2ctx5

Thanks all Martin Hi Martin, Heaps of stands at WP and it even talks about the main one on the website. I would get there before 6:45 to get a decent seat as that was their old start time and alotta people will still go then. Good post tho.. the new WP people seem alot more net savvy than the past and will likely take your comments on board.
