Great news 66 R back on the track next year. Can anyone give a brief background on Ian Elsworth? Thanks think hes had 2 agrade stockcars oops superstocks. theres the westbury car he raced for the rebels in which went to paul dowell(nelson) then craig humpries. He also had another car it looked like an early shane penn type car(wish i had some pics).I think he teams raced in this car also but for the bay park bulldogs at palmy. All rotorua registered cars which included pat westbury, joe faram and jeff mohi driving shane comers old gordge.I think this was the year before the baypark busters came back on the scene unsure of year.He was a club champ 1 year aswell?? 1999, what happened to this car? 2002 at Palmy Teams, Ian didn't drive that season due to back problems, I think Shane Penn drove it at Palmy.

That car has great history..THE IRON MAIDEN as its called..Think it lived its hole life as a Super with a holden v8 in it till the wangarei boys put a ford6 into it..[ex 88p Dean Whatts]..
I THINK.

Originally the car was the Penn built 5b with a screamin Ford 6 D Series in it. Then sold to Tony Whittaker as 66p. Then sold to Ian Elsworth who ran the 6 in it till later on and the Chev V8 went in. The running gear went into the Westbury chassis and onto Paul Dowell then Humpy etc.

haha little kid.... exmountie, you can have the last word (as im sure you want to) But i was kidding, and you had to throw the toys out of the cot. Feel free to come see me at Superstock 51a next season sometime if you wish to discuss it further,if not i consider the matter closed, im over it and i suggest you get over it too.Too many people take the piss, make a joke etc then take it seriously when someone else says something in jest. This is my last post on the matter, because its something being made out of nothing.

Can think of three superstock southland drivers who have appeared in the last 10 years who have had the money to have the pace.
Campbell McManaway Murray Greig Paul Simon
Dion McMurdo
Funnily enough the top three all ended up driving the same car!
And if I recall Mcmanaway sold the gordge too Brendon Lock of CSL who turned it into a hot rod, then sold locally to Graeme Peter who made it ugly to fit in it, then sold too Murry Greig who leased it too Paul Simon for a season or few meetings - Murray Greig still had it i THought, and as Simon leased it and is still racing a streetstock one would have to think it might be Mcmanaway who made such an impression at the teams driving for CHCH.
Hows that for a guess?
or else Greig sold his car to McMurdo, and now is purchasing the new one? lol
