Yeah the boys are through, will have a tough race up against the Panthers....I wonder what excuses Mr Hemi is preparing should the Waka suddenly become sunk again! ;D ;D ;D

Big congrats to Stratford, that was awesome.. Chris Flett was mean as blocking, spending half the GB race being pushed around sideways.. dont think anyone actually spun him around either. Good luck at pulling another big upset tomorrow fellas, keep doin what youre doin!!

Nothing wrong with the Rees hit on Hyslop IMHO. Rees wasn't in contact when Hyslop hit the wall; he followed him in backwards. The impact at the end of the straight though was HUGE!
And what can you say about Dion Mooney; he's the son of The Legend, but he's fast becoming a legend in his own right. Someone obviously forgot to tell the KK guys not to pass him on the outside ;D

I'd say that was the one I was referring to... but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't.. or would it? Remind me to send you the pic of the Frankton Countdown supermarket I took last year at the Hamilton 400.... guess which letters backlight failed... Just shows more ingenious ways the prefix "count" can go horribly wrong anyway....

The countryversy in the Panthers v Mustangs contest extended to one W Hemi hitting not one but two cars under the red lights after Bundy backed in to the wall. And the red caps did what..........sfa. The baying of the crowd at the southern bend gave a fair reflection of what they thought of the decision.

Hemi would have had no idea the red lights were on. he was facing the wall ... miles away fro any red lights and i asume wearing a HANS which stops his head from thurning sideways. Have a look how far the red lights are spaced down there in that turn and work out how he would see red lights without turning his head (which he could not do). The car he was attacking was stopped, granted but he was still in an attacking position. I thought teams champs crowds were more knowledgeable than the rabble baying for him to be sent off.

In a way am sad that the bay not in top4,but I wanted Scrappers there,if they weren't then hoped the bay and warriors could win,so 2 outa 3 aint bad, except I have scrappers there,go the naki.
The semis will be tough, but should the race plans of both scrappers and warriors go out the wibdow, hopefully the team changes tact quick, otherwise it's game over.

round things RAMJAM!!!!! How could Hemi not see the reds ? Everyone else seemed to see them and stop apart from him..The way he was facing he would of had no problem seeing them.....Why he wasnt sent off, i dont know ! Are the Refs local guys or from out of town ? Why was Kevin Roberts sent off and the other 2ks car ? seemed to me they were only doing what the red caps had told them to do.......

I agree Exportgold; I couldn't help but wonder of there was an agenda at play in the Nelson/KK race. At the point when then reds came on Nelson had one car immobile, and were looking just a little under pressure, and it wouldn't do to have the defending champions getting beaten now, would it ....

Sounds like teams of old with controversy abounding depending on who you support.Palmy used to be said to rig the draw in old days in 80's.

It looked to me that Roberts was removed because he cut right across the pole line and took out the leading Nelson car - yes it was accidental and much due to the very greasy infield...but the results still came from an illegal infield cut. The second KK car was the cause of the reds...so that's why he went. Nothing hidden there...and yes, they were both tough calls, but they were both legal calls.

Yeah Roberts hit from the pole line. Car on wall was cause of red so was taken off. Though taking him off was a bit harsh as he got down not long after red.
A guy at home on Speedbox reckons Hemi should have been able to see red when it came on but that call could have gone either way. People down on 3 reckon Rees should have been put backwards onto wall because he spun when he put Bundy in but if memory serves he was only on a 90 degree angle so no biggy.
I think the officals calls weren't bad and most were 50/50. I do have a question however. Are they able to make decisions based on replays or a 3rd umpire as such?

The 2k car should only have been removed from the track if the driver signalled for the reds. if the officials called the red and the driver said he was ok he should have been allowed to continue.
