my question is, have they changed the rules before you stayed up on the wall etc unless you went thumbs down, even if you were parked, or is this the way it is since scotty got nailed??? The other thing is kevin roberts didn't deliberatly attack off the grass, as he came from mid trackto try reverse spin a car and landed up going infield(not all 4 wheels ) had the front wheels pointing out(toward track) , and because it was so wet and slippery was alittle out of control and managed to get couple cars. doesnt matter what he did( Brake or not) he would of got someone in that incident...

It's the referee's job to make the call as to whether a driver is in a safe position or not.

just a point of discussion - how could Roberts have stopped himself from hitting from the pole line? he has just given the car in front a big smack then gone infield and in the conditions with no way stoping himself hit him again. how can a mare human change the laws of physics and motion? but at the end of the day the red caps were just doing their job as he had come from the pole line to hit another car. but how could he have avoided it?
i seem to recall the 03 or 04 passing a melee on turn 1, but no protest are grass trackers allowed now? no wait Roberts was excluded. now i am confused. you can pass on the grass but cant change the laws or physic and motion?
sits back and awaits comments.

I thought that if a car is on the wall and there is nothing to protect the roll cage they have to put on a red these days? But the KK car got himself off without outside assistance so really should have stayed on track. Is that correct?

It's the referee's job to make the call as to whether a driver is in a safe position or not. in previous years and when i raced they didnt care about that as you could hit a parked car pretty much....

I'd have to agree with comments re Moony was good but you'd also have to consider the drivers that WENT AROUND THE OUTSIDE they also had a big part to play in making him look good. And yes the number attacks launched from the infield was amazing. Just as well this isn't raced at Rotorua we'd have no cars left to race at all ;D Very enjoyable nights racing. Couldn't believe the rain stayed away all night.......

Couldn't believe the rain stayed away all night....... As I noted last week when we first talked about the weather; it's NEVER going to be a problem, because Bruce has sold his soul for fine weather ;D

I'm not sure, but I think Roberts might have been pulled for moving under the reds with out being told to, not for any attacking move. When the reds came on he was on the infield, where he should have stayed until green again. He drove out onto the track under red and then stopped. Initially they shifted him back to the infield but must have reviewed that decision and pulled him off. You could hardly blame the bay car, the officials were moving him back, those things are hard to see out of the back of, so not really his fault.

From what i heard. one off poms was dsq for off the grass ,Rees was really lucky on his hit on heslop the car was all crossed up and he was going full hammer sideways and back wards. as for the red lights ?two weeks ago officials were under the hammer over 11seconds they are really are in a no win situation,if not for the mighty V ,in last race it was a really tame night

I mean come on, St Johns are on the track just behind him, why move the offending car then? Wait til they are off the track then move....one thing if a car is away from the incident, but that was just muppetsense!
