palmy are always bending rules, have been since its inception. there have been countless occasions when this has happened. no other event Carry's the same "favoritism" tag as this event. sure come back next year, sweep another controversy under the carpet, and wait for next seasons dramas. prefer it just stopped and there was a fair and just contest between whoever. its hard enough to compete with the panthers let alone the ref as well. Broken record - change

Barry, I don't think it will change, can't see beyond their one-eyed conspiracy theory. They have had it pointed out on a number of posts re Hemis relegation last year, Wainmans relegation this year plus others that occuirred but it seems to make no difference. What about the year Scotty was disqualified and left the team with only 3 cars - may have forgotten that one too I think.

keven is selling his car because of the politics mainly snz thurston he just has it in for him which is unfair and unjustified how can you race a car and enjoy it when you keep getting taking off for nothing.

Since im lazy and dont wish to go through 10 pages of posts (im also unsure if this has been asked) is there any validity to the claim that the panthers made the protest against nelson in the N v S race? It certainly could be seen as the panthers wanting to take out their strongest competition without having to race them. However an infringement is and infringement, but surely it should be between the 2 teams on the track. If they think its fair then alls well. Wait till next year when paly get protests from other teams about their races

Most people on here would not have a clue about the rules of Teams racing, as has been proved many times, yet they all think they should be referee's. As mentioned before most would not have had a clue between the stipe & ref's Part of that is the sports prob because no effort is ever made to explain calls except by one two commentators who care. Cant we do something like this tinyurl.com/4rfrmlk Ok i know the ref cant throw a flag or go onto the track, but some kind of computer link to the comentators room not be set up where the referee could make a call. So if in a teams race car 100x hits a car in a non attacking position, on the screen in the announcers box would pop up incident car # 100x, turn 4. The announcer would mention it right then and there. After the race the ref explains over the PA, Incident of car 100x involves hitting of car in no attacking position will be investigated. He would then go through the normal process of talking to infield officials via radio, drivers rep and then the driver concerned. he would then (or his assistant would) inform the announcer via computer message what the out come, and penalty (if any) was. This wouldn't take anymore time than is already taken although would maybe need an assistant to do the messaging. Would make for a better informed crowd.

I wouldnt know but is there anything to stop this from happening? Obviously there are rules to protesting but does it stipulate that it has to be the team racing. I merely heard a rumour and am glad to have had it proven wrong. I wanted the information and luckily for me i got it from a form of the source.

since when can you put in a protest on a race your not even in ?. it was more misinformed dribble, altho to be fair he was asking rather than telling. you can't even protest a race you ARE in. You can raise an issue with the drivers rep.

when a senior ref is in control of teams racing, no protests can be entered into. other wise only those competitors racing in the same race as a racing incident can protest that racing incident.

Ramjam, stop banging your head against the wall... You'll only hurt yourself. The blind are blind and wont change, not matter how much reason you present them with.
